In 2018, we began hiking and birdwatching as a get-a-way from our tiny rental unit. Being in nature gives us so much fun, peace, and freedom while wildlife photography preserves what we saw and enjoy on the trails.
For 2 years living in different rental units, we were harassed, threatened, broke in, and robbed by the other renters. In 2021, we bought a house. While we were lucky to have a safe place called home, the animals we have been watching remained unfortunate as their home and food sources continue to shrink.
We encourage everyone to spend more time outdoor, in nature, and help preserve more land for nature and wildlife. Nature preserves are used by researchers to detect contaminations before it's too late for our populations. Wildlife represents the health of our environment. Thus, helping them is actually helping us!
