Hey guys, I'm happy about every new subscriber, even though I'm busy with other important things at the moment and hardly post any new videos. Still, it's great to see that new and older videos are being watched a lot. My Trek classics in particular seem to be slowly gaining cult status. But my newer Moonship animation is also well received.
But I also think that you should always be objective and critical, because a lot of things are just served up and you're hardly forced to think. Especially when it comes to knowledge or insights, a lot of things are recycled and rehashed year after year. This may be related to the fact that YouTubers have to publish at least 3 videos a month to earn money. Many use ready-made film material and try to attract attention and clicks with photoshopped video covers. But you don't really learn much that's new, rather the old stuff is presented again and again. Commercialization through advertising is not a bad thing and can be helpful, but mass production can have a negative impact on quality, originality and objectivity. Nevertheless, a video platform also promotes talent and offers communicative networks and reach that never existed before. In the end, we are all responsible for what is uploaded and how we perceive the world around us. I think that quality and creativity always win out in the end, and that's a good thing...
