My Opinions on Spider-Man MUs
THE BEST: Batman Beyond (DC Comics)

GREAT: Mega Man (Capcom) / Cole MacGrath (inFAMOUS)
REALLY GOOD: Shirou Emiya (Fate) / Guyver I (The Guyver)
GOOD: Donatello (TMNT) / Kamen Rider Nigo (Kamen Rider) / Billy Cranston (Power Rangers)
ALRIGHT: Sideways (DC Comics)

MOTD: Denji vs Rick Taylor (Chainsaw-Man vs Splatterhouse)
Connections:
Two former normal humans, main protagonists of extremely gory series who got their life ruined by demon attack (Denji being attacked by demon that possessed body of Yakuza members / Rick & his girlfriend, Jen, being attacked by demon when they visiting one of their teacher).
Both of them then survived after their body became one with mysterious yet powerful monsters (Pochita / The Terror Mask) which turned them into Superhuman with insane physical stats & healing factor. Both now cannot leave them and they are the only people that are capable of hearing them.
Both killed a lot of demons and even traveled to hell.
Both are capable of consuming the blood of their enemies that heals them which makes them extremely hard to kill and the world was not kind to them (Denji having to pay debts of his dead father to Yakuza / Rick being traumatized and terrified of the world).
This started to get better when they met a woman that they fallen in love with along with pretty much doing almost everything they did for her (Makima / Jennifer), but there is a contrast between these women with Jennifer genuinely loving Rick whereas Makima didn't actually love Denji at all and lied to him.
Finally both have bulky super forms with spikes.
I know you may not like this MU, but I love it even though Denji loses out to Jason Voorhees on steroids.

This time he faced two characters who were about to ruin Christmas.

MOTD: Shadow VS Vincent Valentine (Sonic The Hedgehog VS Final Fantasy)
Connections:
-Serious, near deadpan anti-heroes with the color scheme of red and black who wield guns and were introduced with a mysterious past.
-Their pasts involve them being apart of a project where they'd become the ultimate being, bonding with a woman (Lucretia / Maria) and being experimented on by a scientist (Hojo / Gerald Robotnik). However it turns out that the women they loved were related to the primary antagonist (Sephiroth being the son of Lucretia / Maria being Eggman's cousin) and that they were also genetically tied to a villain in their story (Sephiroth's biological code was based off of Vincent / Black Doom using his DNA for Shadow).
-Unfortunately for Shadow and Vincent, these women would become ill and would die later on. After they died, Shadow and Vincent would become sealed away until they would be released once again years later by a team. With their reawakening, both would seek out revenge however there is a contrast as Shadow was going to destroy humanity whereas Vincent was going to save it from being ruled by Sephiroth. In spite of this, both protect humanity and manage to save them from threats.
-The grand finale of their games would have them in their super forms (Chaos Vincent / Super Shadow) working alongside the main protagonist to defeat the main villain. They'd sacrifice themselves to save the world, being motivated by the woman they loved, and would die. However it would be revealed later on that both had actually lived and didn't die.
-Both characters would also share struggles with themselves, most notably in Vincent controlling Chaos and Shadow with his identity. Throughout their games they'd also have flashbacks to their pasts.
-In spite of their demeanors, both characters are very caring of their friends and are good people at heart. They're also quite tragic characters.
-Both characters are not only immortal, but are empowered by chaos due to powerful gems which they're linked to. They also use more gemstones which also share similar abilities (including time stop, energy projectiles and an all-powerful explosion) and share transformations (the Limit Breaks / Super Shadow), with one literally being called chaos (Chaos Vincent and Chaos Shadow).
-Both characters would become so popular amongst their fan bases that they'd get their own titles, Shadow The Hedgehog (2005) and Dirge Of Cerberus: Final Fantasy 7. In these games, shooter mechanics would be used and would be the first time to ever be used in their series'.
Taking advantage of the great success of Sonic The Hedgehog 3, I decided to publish this MU which is so far my preferred option for both
