Established in 2018 at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, the McMaster Midwifery Research Centre (MMRC) focuses on research activities consistent with the Centre’s mission and vision, including: improving maternal child outcomes, advocating for health service provision for families and newborns, and advancing health professional education. Our research areas of focus include: Health Services & Access to Care, Health Outcomes, and Midwifery Education.

Mission: The MMRC is dedicated to excellence in midwifery research that informs policy, practice and education and improves outcomes for pregnant and birthing families and their infants.

Vision: To be an internationally recognized centre that promotes excellence in maternal child health and healthcare through the generation of evidence to optimize midwifery care.
