Hi everyone! 🇬🇧
I am finally here in the United Kingdom to fulfill one of my dreams - to study abroad and experience what is it like to be a student in a first world country. This would not be possible without @CheveningFCDO! 💙
Thus, before I make vlogs about #MyCheveningJourney, I would like to first share what Chevening is, the application process and some essay tips for you to make it too! 😉
To those who also aspire to study in the UK, but like me couldn’t afford it, this upcoming vlog is for you. It will premiere on Sept 20, 2021 at 9 o’clock in the morning (Philippine Time).
If I was able to do it, you can too!
Happy Aral! 🌸

Who would have thought that a small girl from a public school in Quezon City, Philippines will someday make it to a prestigious university in London, United Kingdom? 🇬🇧
I am incredibly thrilled and honored to share with everyone that I have been #ChosenForChevening for 2021-2022. Out of over 63,000 applicants globally, I am lucky to be one of the successful candidates of the Chevening Awards and have been granted a full scholarship.
It has been my dream to study abroad and experience the academic life of students from first-world countries. I always wonder how it is to be in their shoes. But because of financial constraints, I was ready to let go of that dream. Then, Chevening happened. ❤️
This coming academic year, I will be pursuing my second Master of Laws Degree - LLM in Public International Law - at the Queen Mary University of London. This time, my focus will be on International Law and Security. Through this program, I hope to someday contribute in defending our sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea and help in preserving our country’s sovereignty.
To my mentors, Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier, Supreme Court Associate Justice Edgardo Delos Santos, Sen. Richard J. Gordon, Rep. Teodorico Haresco, and Adamson University College of Law Dean Anna Maria Abad, my sincerest gratitude for taking me under your wings.
To the people who believed that I could make it to Chevening, Court of Appeals Associate Justice Japar Dimaampao, Deputy Senate Secretary Arnel Bañas, Blue Ribbon Director-General Rodolfo Quimbo, Philippine Ambassador Ariel Abadilla, University of Canberra Prof. Benedict Sheehy, Harvard University Prof. James Kraska and University of the Philippines Prof. Andre Palacios, I will forever be grateful to all of you.
To my inspiration - my family, James, my friends, and my furbabies, I will miss all of you. Thank you for supporting and encouraging me to reach new heights.
Lastly, I would like to encourage the dreamers. To those who were not born with a silver spoon like me, education is our only hope. Use it as a weapon to survive in this world. Trust me; it will bring you to places you’ve never thought possible.
Happy Aral! 🌸

“I was not a bar topnotcher or an honor student, I said. That is the truth. Unlike most chief justices before me, I was not an academic stand out. But, I also said then that I truly believe that the collective body of work that I did was more than enough to compensate for that.

Yay! Nakakakilig naman. Super dami palang interested. 💜
Anyway, to organize and formalize this, I am thinking if we could we make four (4) sections by clustering you based on your year level. Maybe something like this:
1. Aspiring Law Students
2. Incoming Freshmen and First Year Students
3. Second & Third Year Students
4. Graduating Students & Barristers
To sign up, kindly look for this post on Facebook, leave a comment if you’re interested to join and indicate your year level. I can accommodate siguro 20 to 25 students per section. Let’s see kung alin ang unang mabuo. 😉
Tentative schedule of our first Happy Class will be on Friday, February 5, 2020, 6 PM.
Thank you. Happy Aral! 🌸

Since I started vlogging, I received a lot of questions regarding tips on how to ace recitations, answer exams, and basically, just how to survive law school. Although I always try my best to answer each and every message/ comment I receive, parang hindi enough kasi parang kulang ng personal connection.
Thus, I am thinking if I could conduct online “classes”, maybe via Zoom, kahit 1-2 hours lang per week for law students who are willing to join.
This will be absolutely FREE. I won’t charge anything pero limited slots lang siguro per session para talagang matutukan ko bawat isa and i can entertain questions.
Please let me know if you’re interested para mahanapan ko ng schedule. 😊
Thank you and Happy Aral! 🌸
