With the touch down of Prime Minister Shri #NarendraModi on #French soil, the Defense Acquisition Policy (DAP), has cleared the procurement of 26 #Rafale naval aircraft for the #IndiaNavy. As these #RafaleNaval perfectly meet the standards and specificity of the Indian Navy, will help to maintain peace, stability and protect #sovereignty in the Indian Ocean Region. Out of 26 Rafale Naval, some of them will be operationalised on newly commissioned #madeinindia aircraft carrier #INSVikrant and the rest will be docked at the Naval base in Goa.
The most important point is that #India and #France decided to jointly develop a combat aircraft engine for India's #AMCA programme. i.e, 5th generation fighter aircraft of India.
India has also given orders for 3 more #Scorpene class submarines known as #Kalvari class in India. The #submarines will be installed with #DRDO Fuel based Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) systems, which will help to extend the duration of the submarines under the water.

The two days visit of Prime Minister Shri #NarendraModi to #France marks 25 years of #strategicrelation between the two countries. Leaders of both the countries have a adopted a joint statement " Towards a Century of Indo-French Relations". This will make a way of #bilateralrelations till 2047, marking 100 years of India's Independence, 100 years of #diplomaticrelations and 50 years of #strategicrelations between #India and #France.
Both Prime Minister Shri #NarendraModi and French President #EmmanuelMacron have declared to co-operate in areas like defence, space, civil nuclear energy, counter terrorism, critical technology like #quantumcomputing and civil aviation.
The Co-operation is not limited to security and development of super computer but also in areas like Plastic pollution, health, #blueeconomy and Decarbonised energy.
