This should be the least controversial statement in the world right now. Atrocities are being committed by Israel and the complicity of western states (sup Trudeau) and media is horrifying and stark.
I'm biased. I want self-determination for indigenous people everwhere. I believe that settler colonialism is violence. I believe that the current violence in Gaza is a continuation of a genocide that Israel has been committing against Palestinians for decades.
But you don't have to believe these things to believe that there's nothing that can justify 3000+ dead, indiscriminate bombings, and a murderous siege on Gaza.
Get your news from a variety of sources, read up on the history, and if you feel like it's in your power to make any sort of difference, now's the time.

In case you missed it:
🌟FASHION✨️ IN THE TIME OF WITCH HUNTS💀
So this was a bit of a learning experience....
I had the idea to do a fun little Halloween video where I draw what a historically accurate witch costume might look like. A fun spooky topic.
But once I started pulling on the thread of the witch hunts I realized this topic is actually really complex, and this wasn't a topic I could get a handle on through a weekend's research. And you all know that I'm not going to skimp on the "historical context" section of my videos. 😅
So several months later, I finally have something ready for you that I *hope* will do justice to this topic...at least as much justice as I can do it in a 15 minute fashion history video.
Also 17th century fashion is just really underrated, and if you're not already obsessed you're missing out. 🔥🔥🔥

Hello! There are a lot of new subscribers this month, so welcome! And thank you for all the kind words on my last video!
I've been working hard in my evenings on a special video for spooky season, but alas I have not pulled it together in time. My content is infrequent, but my heart is pure.
In the meantime, enjoy this year's jack-o-lantern. I decided to go classic scary and I do not regret my choice 😈

TOMORROW at 10am EST:
The REAL History of the Hennin!
It's been a minute, but trust me when I say I have been working for months on the little series of videos I have coming at you. I'm super excited to have a few videos batched so that I'll be a good semi-consistent youtuber for the summer at least. It would mean a lot to me if you tuned in and shared it with all your dorky fashion history friends!

Hello!
I'm Lydia and on this channel I'll be exploring the history of making. My historical sewing projects always feature a healthy dose of historical context because I love knowing *why* the world is shaped the way it is - from gigot sleeves to capitalism.
