CBI, contributes to sustainable and inclusive economic development in developing countries through the expansion of exports from these countries to Europe. In doing so, we promote and create decent jobs, and we stimulate sustainable production and trade.

We are part of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and are funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

What we do
We strengthen the social, economic and environmental sustainability of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries. By using a systems approach; we recognise that unsustainable practices are often the result of complex systems. Through our projects, our aim is to address the root causes of problems in existing systems. We work in close cooperation with local and international experts, partner organisations and other Dutch government-funded programmes.
