At a time when television is experiencing a renaissance of both originality and creativity, the television production program in Brooklyn College is educating its students to become the foremost artistic professionals in the industry. Students learn single camera writing, producing, directing and editing in both fiction and non-fiction genres. They conduct research, study media theory and criticism, and explore the social and cultural context of media production. Additionally, students utilize our state of the art HD multiple camera television studio to create live-streaming Internet broadcasts of programs they create and produce.
Our program in television production recognizes and embraces the rapidly changing ways stories are being told, watched, distributed and experienced. We encourage production of media in its many forms, from traditional television broadcasts to webisodes, multi-media presentations, and cross-platform work.
