Mehedi Hassan is a genuine artist, a student of life! A Recitalist who strives to develop himself everyday! An intellectual who craves for knowledge from all walks of life! His view of life is that we learn only from our mistakes.


Mehedi Hassan is the eldest in his family of eight brother and sisters. His father Amjad Ali was Police Officer and mother House Wife. Mehedi Hassan did his S.S.C. from Nobinagar Pilot High School, H.S.C from Bangla Collage, Honors and Masters in Law from Dhaka University. His school days were spent in deferent districts in Bangladesh due to his father's job.

He learned from his life and cultures that poetry augments our inner vision, which is very important for an artiste and that is why he considers poetry as a part of his daily life and not just as a hobby. He enjoys Rabindranath, Jibananda Das, Jasimuddin etc. Among the contemporary poets, he likes Shamsur Rahman, Nirmolen
