For all you Doctor Who fans out there who want to make their own title sequence, let me give you a helpful tip that will vastly improve your renders. Use MOTION BLUR as vortexes usually go pretty fast; in fact, you should apply motion blur to anything that is animated to keep the natural look. If you use After Effects, apply the CC force motion blur effect, and if you using Cinema 4D and Octane (or even Blender), activate motion blur blur and use this equation to get the most natural effect:
Shutter Speed (in seconds)=
1/2×Frame Rate
The equation is based on the "180-degree shutter rule," a standard in cinematography for achieving natural-looking motion blur. According to this rule, the shutter speed should be the reciprocal of twice the frame rate.

Thriving in the VFX and film industry means learning to let the background noise fade. 🎨🎬 Jealousy and negative comments are like fleeting shadows in a scene—they can't dim the brilliance of well-crafted visuals. Stay focused on the art, not the static. #VisualEffects #ArtisticDrive

As you may have noticed yesterday, I shared a new visual effects tutorial on my channel. After a significant hiatus from tutorial creation, I believed it was an opportune moment to revitalize my channel. In keeping with my established niche, the tutorial featured a Doctor Who theme, a nod to my renowned creation of the acclaimed 14th Doctor Who intro concept. Alongside these tutorials, I invite you to explore my complete portfolio of VFX, 3D art, and photography at jacksimcovfx.com or on Instagram @jack.simcox.
In light of this new direction, I’m eager to receive your feedback. Would you prefer that I return to the 'talking head' video format reminiscent of my earlier content in 2020 and 2021, or should I maintain the current approach of screencasts with audio narration? Your input is invaluable as I continue to evolve my channel and content.
