Sam Himself shares โBackstreetsโ ahead of his third album, due out in the spring. The โSwiss-born, Gotham-bredโ (SPIN) alt./indie auteurโs new single showcases his signature โvocal powerโ (CoS) โ which earned him the nickname โKing of Tearsโ in his home country โ across three octaves in an intimately anthemic production by Daniel Schlett (Iggy Pop, The War On Drugs) with bass by Josh Werner (Ghostface Killah) and mastering by Greg Calbi (Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie).
The release follows Sam Himself's sophomore effort, Never Let Me Go; a yearlong tour; an appearance on And Just Like That (the HBOยฎ Max Original Series); multiple Swiss Music Award nominations and a collaboration with the Symphony Orchestra in the artist's native Basel.
