I am officially saying goodbye to my channel at this time. Apparently, I have had a drug reaction from my hospitalization for diverticulitis with perforation back in Sept. I am basically paralyzed in my hands, feet and legs. I am in unrelenting pain and there is no cure, just trial and error. I am home bound and my disabled hubby and I are fumbling.
Just to keep y'all in the loop. There is nothing new here, but i am pretty much disabled at this time. My church family is helping with meals, rides, and cleaning tasks. Our family is 1800 miles away so it is hard to go it alone.
Here is what is going on ... So, I started palliative care this week. I am starting some meds to see if we can trick my brain from all the pain receptors that fire 24/7. Mike and I are terrified of adding any meds, but I need to get some relief. I qualified for hospice because of my pain and disability but as I want to try and get my colon fixed, I need to stay in palliative care. The colon surgeon ordered a CT scan, and he is checking all my past colon issues, and then we can make a decision.
One day at a time. I also qualify for Home Health Care to help with all my daily activities and am just waiting for them to schedule. Ok, I have to go rest now it was a long day. I'll miss you all and follow your channels as my health permits ~ πSparkle

Hello sweet crafty friends, so I just wanted to stop by and give you a health update and a status on where I will be hanging out for the next few weeks. Tomorrow (February 26th) is Gallbladder 'eviction' and liver biopsy day, so that will be exciting. My sister from Texas is flying in today to stay with me for a few days postop, as I will need help with hubby too. Then on top of this wonderful event, on Friday I was diagnosed via MRI with a moderate full thickness rotator tear, in my right shoulder that I had done 9 years ago. In addition, there were four other findings which I do not know how to interpret. I am assuming I will get a call this week from my PCP referring me to an orthopedic doctor to decide my next treatment goals. So onward we go. I have immobilized my arm as best I can and am just trying to get things in order at home for postop healing and making things convenient for both of us. I will be back when I can to share but should have lots of time to watch your videos, although, I may not be able to comment much as I need to rest my shoulder and gut. Have a blessed, beautiful Spring time and hope to be back real soon. In the meantime, I will 'Sparkle' on ππ΅π

Hello my sweet crafty community, Sparkle here π. First of all, I wanted to wish you all the happiest of New Year's for the upcoming year. Just wanted to post a quick update and a miracle that is happening in my life. The first picture was from last year and the other two were a month or so ago just for comparision!
For those of you who have been following me, six months ago I was diagnosed with: Cirrhosis, which is severe, permanent scarring in your liver. This is the stage where fibrosis is no longer reversible. When your liver no longer has enough healthy cells left to work with, its tissues can no longer regenerate. But you can still slow or stop the damage at this stage. All I was told at that time was to change my diet, lose at least 10% of my body weight, refrain from alcohol (which I did not partake in) and exercise. I also developed issues with my pancrease and gallbladder and these concerns are being worked up at this time. During this time, I was diagnosed with Hereditary Hemochromatosis, which is excess iron in the liver and my enzymes are still increasing. I am monitored for this every 3-6 months and will under phlebotomy treatments to remove the excess iron if it continues. Not a big deal, but I don't need anything 'extra' in my body as my liver tries to stay compensated and trouble free.
Fast forward to this week (six months later) and I am happy to say that I have lost 36+ pounds and am continuing on this journey. For the most part, I have cut out all sugar, processed foods, fried and/or fatty foods, etc. and have begun a walking regimen. I went for my repeat liverscan this past week and lo and behold, my cirrhosis is 'in remission' or not an issue at this time. The doctor was as shocked as I was and I believe God has decided to heal my liver at this time. There is no other explanation other than my feeble life-style changes which I am trying so very hard to adhere to.
I will be seeing a gallbladder surgeon in the upcoming future and will probably need to have surgery to remove it. As far as the pancrease issues go, we just don't have anything definitive. I will be seeing a pancreatic specialist also in the near future to see if they have any answers.
But for now, I am in shock and just in awe how God can and still performs miracles today. Six months ago, my prognosis was very sad but now I can see brighter days and a future of hope and continued healing. So, thank you all for being there for me. I love my small little community and I will definitely try to be more 'present' for you all in 2024.
We believe hubby had a mini stroke about a week ago, and he has some good days and not so good days, but as I heal and get stronger, I know I can help him in his journey too. So be well all my friends and thank you again ~ Sparkle πππ

Hello my crafty friends, sorry I have been missing in action. I had an emergency dental procedure on Tuesday and had to have a molar extracted with bone graft and stitches and I cannot talk very well at this time. I cannot take any pain meds due to my liver issues and so I am waiting it out. I just wanted to show you a few things I have been playing with on my desk to keep myself distracted inbetween all my medical appointments. It has been a cray-cray week and I hope to be back on line real soon. Miss ya'll all and hope you all are doing well ~ much love, Sparkle π

Hello Crafty Friends thank you for stopping by. Just wanted to give a shout out to all my faithful subbies and for those new crafters who have joined my crafty world. Just wanted to give a quick update. I am an emotional wreck at the moment and still sorting things out. Sorry if I have been 'distant' and not promoting very much crafty content of late. I recently received the news (and confirmation) that I am suffering from cirrhosis and fibrosis of the liver, non-alcohol related. I am trying to process my concerns and educate myself on the different stages of liver disease. I am drastically changing my diet and exercise regime as I need to try and keep the disease from getting worse. I think caring for hubby and myself for so long has taken it's toll but I am going to do all that I can to strengthen my body and take care of me. I know that there is no cure and no one is coming for me, medically speaking, to help resolve my issues. I have a strong faith and believe that God has me exactly where he wants me to be and I give this situation totally back to him to manage and sort out I will do my part but I can rest in Him knowing that he has my days ordered and I am asking for him to direct my path. So, if I seem a little distracted or not my bubbly self, please give me grace and know that I am doing my best. I love you all and thank you for all your love, encouragement, prayers, support and craft fun ~ Always, Sparkle

Hello welcome to my crafty world. My name is Lynn but my friends call me "Sparkle"π. I know most of you only see my hands and my sparkly nails on my You Tube channel. I was challenged by my sweet friend Robin at #daisyjournalco to introduce myself with a photo, which I normally don't like to do. So anyway, I am a wife, mom to 2 wonderful humans, G-ma to 9 adorable grands and Great G-ma to 2 of the sweetest little loves. I also have a furbaby "Chewy" who loves to sit on my desk and listen to my music while I create. A very important fact I meant to share is that I have 8 biological sisters who live t/o the great ole USA. We Zoom once a week and they are a great source of encouragement, support and love in my life π. I live in AZ and have a new role of taking care of my hubby full time. He is legally blind and has a serious lung disease so I craft to find my quiet place and as a diversion from all the challenges each day brings. I am the Financial Secretary at my church and somehow manage to keep things on an even keel. My joy is creating anything that I can think of: Bible journaling, junk journaling, altered art work, diamond painting, envelope art, etc. I have also been challenged to colloborate with a few crafty companies this year to explore new avenues of interest. I am a coffee snob and just adore having a cup of coffee with all my lovely subscribers while I create. I donate most of my creations to charities or to missionaries and women's shelter type venues. I do not have a shop but I do love to support all the wonderful creators I have met on my journey. I hope you will stop by and say hello and know that I wish you all a blessed, beautiful day πππ

I just wanted to thank all my supporters for watching my little channel and showing me some love. Here is a little Easter blessing to brighten your day. This is my first great-granddaughter, Maeve, and she is 4.5 months. She is definitely the cutest little 'egg' in the basket!!!!!

I forgot to post this last week but it was a gentle reminder to me that we are all beautifully made in His image and that God will bless and guide us in our steps if we ask him to. Psalm 139:14 says . . . "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well". So, today I am thankful that I woke up to enjoy another lovely day and am blessed because of His unfailing love for me. Have a beautiful day my friends πππ

?sub_confirmation=1 Good Monday afternoon my crafty friends. Hope today is a delightful day. So, I was trying to figure out how to do a YT introduction video and I have no clue, this is what sort of came together but it is not what I really wanted as I don't know how to include it in my videos; so back to the drawing board I go. I wish I could figure things out in a timely fashion. Oh well, I guess I'll go create something fun ~ see you all in the studio in a bit ~ Sparkle.
