Unreal. At the start of 2024 I quit my job and mentally fell back down the deep hole I spent the past 5 years climbing out of. I decided to just make whatever I felt like to ease the fight against my inner demons and I cannot understate how much making videos has kept me afloat. Ever since september, I have felt the tides turning, slowly becoming myself again. Now that 2024 is coming to a close, I can conclude I have returned to form. To then have my best ever performing non pokemon video line up with the restoration of my mental health, is a perfect end to the year. Thank you for tuning in. Thank you for 3000 subs. Thank for everything. Even if it's a 1 video wonder and the next flops, this all has left me deeply emotional. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'll see y'all in 2025, happy holidays <3

105 days. I have never been absent for this many days before.
HOWEVER, I am making this post to announce I am in fact barack within a week. Since the 12th of august my life has been consumed by this GTA San Andreas retrospective. I dropped everything I had going on life and stayed up far too late for far too many days to make its 20th anniversary on the 26th… and failed. Earlier this week I sadly had to conclude there was too much work left to do and I’d rather have a perfect video than a flawed one for the sake of meeting a self imposed deadline. A few days late it is. I am assuming I can render the first draft tomorrow, second on wednesday and upload thursday-saturday depending on how fast I can finish the thumbnail :)
That being said, the video is about 1:37h. More than enough to make up for my absence. I usually don’t care about views, impressions or any other metric, but I have poured my all into this video. I am talking 300 hours. Of course I am not gonna pressure anyone into anything, but if you happen to enjoy the video and know of a platform to share it on, it would mean the world to me. I truly believe this is the best video I have ever made.

Yooo, the original plan was to have a video out late august/early september, but due to my usual dogwater time management that ain't happening. I got all footage recorded + the script is done + voice over is recorded, buuuuuut there is no time left to continue working on it. In 2 months time my favourite game of all time, GTA San Andreas, turns 20 years old and as per usual I plan to make a lengthy retrospective to celebrate. Due to time constraints I cannot afford to work on anything other than this retrospective for now if I want to have it out on october 26. So uhhh there might not be a video on this channel for another 2 months, but the video will be A BANGER. In the meantime, if you miss me, I got 1:41 hours of me yapping about snowboard games on my 2nd channel for you to enjoy. What a treat.

My latest video is doing very well in terms of views, CTR and watchtime, but it has an unusually high dislike ratio and it bothers me. I spent 4 months making this video and I was, and still am, very happy with the result. I think it's a great video. To then see this many dislikes does hurt me to an extent. I am fine with you leaving a dislike, but I'd love to know what wasn't good, what I can improve upon... I wouldn't upload it if I didn't think it was quality content. I am open to constructive criticism, but this leaves me feeling disappointed AND in the dark. These community posts don't have a big response rate nor do I have a massive audience, but I'd love to hear what I could do better. Thank you.

Sad news... Gonna have to cancel the video today, as Warner Bros.' automated copyright bots have claimed 2 sections of the video, despite it ABSOLUTELY falling under YouTube's fair use policy. Like I couldn't dislike this company even more than I already did. I refuse to trim either section out, so I am going to cook up a ridiculous goofball imitation of the claimed sections through some magical editing and hopefully have the video up tomorrow or sunday. My b for the false announcement yesterday I guess

Video tomorrow @3PM CET. It's 1 hour and 8 minutes of pure joy and yapping about a lonesome samurai trying to undo the evil that is.... AKU. Like 30-40% of my time these past 8 weeks has gone into endlessly trying to fix my audio, watching hours of tutorials and purchasing a new mic (this vid is still on the old mic), so I hope it's sufficient enough. Far from perfect, but i'll get there with the new mic. Hopefully. Maybe. Prolly not.

Hi all,
While my last video is doing very well thanks to the YouTube algo promoting it heavily for no reason, I did get a comment that is stinging like crazy and has ruined my day quite a bit. About how my voiceover is a whisper and how the gameplay sections are too loud, making it ''unwatchable''. I have checked the video on pc speakers, phone speakers, headphones and airpods and found no real imbalance on my end. Then I asked a friend of mine to check and he essentially confirmed the gameplay being too loud opposed to my voice. It has made me very self aware and insecure about the video, while I was so proud of the end result at first. Has this always been an issue with my videos? Is it just this video? I'll definitely look into tweaking my microphone to be louder whilst staying somewhat crisp and have been looking into getting a replacement regardless, but I'd love to hear opinions on this. In any case, I'll try to do better next time... Thanks in advance. :/

I finally got around to finishing this absolute masterpiece of a game. Hope to have a rather lengthy video on it out in the next ~2-3 weeks. We'll see how fast my slow slow work ethic can get it done. I have also recently uploaded a lengthy and very much good times and vibes video on watch dogs on my second channel, so let me plug that and ask u to check that out while waiting for me to finish this banger video for the main channel. Beyond happy YouTube decided to push the XD video as much as it did. Worked very hard on it and am incredibly proud of the result, so it feels rewarding to see it do so well. A huge thanks to everyone that took time out of their day to tune in <3 I also want to take this opportunity to plug the 2nd channel again, even if it most likely won't work. I'll be making/uploading videos about anything that caught my interest in the world of vidya games for the foreseeable future in a looser (low effort) typa format. Hi yall,
The initial idea was to make a video on the second channel where I'd recap my personal and channel's 2023. I ended up discarding the idea at the very last moment however, because I simply wasn't really feeling like it. Long story short: I quit my current job (not to do YouTube full time LOL, looking for something else) and have some exceptionally cool plans for the channel in 2024. Things will stay dry for another month though. I have been actively working on the XD: Gale of Darkness retrospective, but safe to say I had a lot more to say about Colosseum’s sequel than I initially anticipated. I think the video will be close to or over an hour… Woops.
