There actually are ten sisters...and seven brothers! Being raised in a large family, Carmen started quilting and sewing as a young girl, and has been hooked ever since. She currently teaches for quilt shops and groups throughout the country. She also hosts her own quilt retreats in several states.
Carmen has been a guest on M'Liss Rae Hawley's World of Quilts and America Sews with Sue Hausmann. She has taught classes at many quilt shows including Home Machine Quilters Show, Road to California,and Houston Market. She has been published in Quiltmaker's Magazine.More recently, she was named the 2013 Quilter of the Year!
