Some more Penny Reds coming up - these are imperforate Penny Reds which superseded the Penny Black stamps. The Penny Black stamps lasted in circulation for less than a year when the Penny Red imperforate took over. The Penny Red was the first stamp in the world to be in circulation for over 12 months.
