Hello World
My name is Matt Brevner, and if you're here, you know me as a Hip Hop artist from Vancouver B.C.
I've been writing songs since I was able to write period. Music allowed for me means to communicate and express myself, something that was huge for a young man who often felt misunderstood.
Unfortunately, despite some commercial success, a career in music mostly manifested into depression, suicidality, and a life of crime to life up to expectations, and keep the image going.
I hit rock bottom in 2018, and Jesus Christ, the true one living God, met me in my sorrows and picked me back up, a new man.
shortly after that, I viewed my music with a new lens. I wasn't proud of anything I had created, rather saw that my music was actually hurting the world around me, based on the things I was promoting; mostly depression, angst, drug abuse, and criminal lifestyles.
I decided to remove all of my music from YouTube, and this page has been mostly dormant. Ive pursued a career in journalism during the pandemic, and I love how God has given me the ability to speak truth to power. Music however, is and always will be my true passion, and something that I feel that I was honestly gifted by God to do.
I plan on releasing new music in the future. Music that edifies and encourages, rather than tears down.
Because of that, I have also decided to make all of my old music public again, so that you all can see the transformation of Christ in my life, and hopefully be encouraged.

I started a new YouTube channel for news commentary! I’ll be posting a new video here every Friday. Don’t worry, new music is coming, but I wanted to start a new community for journalism. Please do me a favour and subscribe to the channel to help it grow! Thanks so much ❤️🙏🏽
