Just paid for my seat for Awards night at Theatre Hawke's Bay. Can't wait! An opportunity to wear one of the dresses I kept in my wardrobe for 20 years - That "One day" has finally come.
There will be dinner and champagne, and I have been nominated for two awards (I never thought that would happen ๐) Best Supporting Actress and Best Female Vocal.
Don't stand a chance for Best Vocal, I don't know about Supporting Actress - maybe if the other supporting roles were small? I didn't see the last two productions but I plan on attending every production from now on โค
Good luck to all those who have been nominated for an award. Look forward to seeing you all again next month! ๐

My Secret Santa gift couldn't be more perfect for me! Firstly, I love doing mindful diamond art. Secondly, before I realised what the pictures were, I was thinking to myself: "I think I will take these to the park today and sit with them under a tree" (my new favourite thing!)
Positive sign from the universe maybe that this grounding I have been doing lately is indeed good for me ๐

Today I will be jumping out of my comfort zone a bit by walking to town, popping into my sister's cafe and the supermarket barefoot. I did pre-warn my friend Lucie, told her I would be happy to put shoes on if it embarrasses her. She said "We love a bit of hippy dippy!" Gotta love her! ๐ She supports my new way of life ๐ฅฐ
I will still wear shoes in the theatre, biking around (maybe), or in other more formal settings. I used to think it was gross and improper seeing people walk barefoot in public, kinda is (and gross if you go to bed like that - I give my feet a good wash daily - mama taught me well๐) The health benefits outweigh social conformities. Time to normalise going barefoot (although I must say, it's more common in New Zealand than in other countries!)

Wow, 52 of my subscribers received a bell notification for my latest video. I never receive bell notifications! Appreciate that so many feel it worthwhile to be notified of my videos ๐๐ It is super nice when I see a subscriber view and like my video right after I release it. Thank you for taking the time and for your ongoing support! ๐ฅฐ

My latest video has been doing better than my average videos which is always nice to see. It picked up a lot more views overnight. I don't spend hours on trying to get my videos to rank well like I did for a short period earlier in the year, but what does seem to help is when type up a bunch of different titles in the free Tubebuddy app. The title "On my own too much" had a very high chance of ranking well. Just a tip for my fellow YouTubers out there.
Don't bother obsessing or spending money on these tools though, all they are is tools. Some videos can do very well on YouTube without any effort where titles and keywords are concerned. The algorithm is unpredictable. It's better to forget about it and just make the content you enjoy creating. As they say, your audience will find you. It may take a long time like with me but it's about the journey, not the destination. Happy with my crew ๐๐

Today I made dandelion tea for the first time, using just the petals. Did you know that this plant/herb "weed" is super super healthy? I talk more about this in a few Shorts I just released. I plan on drinking dandelion tea for every day of summer ๐

I'll be filming a video about loneliness today. Here's a post I shared on Facebook about it. Never sure about over-sharing, but we shouldn't always filter ourselves. Maybe it is helpful for anyone else experiencing loneliness right now, to know that they aren't really alone, even if it feels like that sometimes.
Reflective Over Share Post - Because sometimes it's good to share:
Did you know that you can use the dating app Bumble to also make new platonic friends and work connections? So many of us get caught up in trying to find romantic love, but loving friendships are equally important.
As an introvert, I'm guilty of spending most of my life alone. I live alone and am grateful for that, have done the flatting thing and I won't do it again unless I have to. I do hope to live with a loving partner one day though. We all deserve to experience that.
For the most part, I'm good at being alone. But sometimes, it does get lonely. Especially after having so much fun with a lovely group of people creating Little Miss Sunshine ๐
What I do to help combat feelings of loneliness and isolation, is I go outside! I'm not sure what took me so long to realise how important nature is for my mental and physical health. Grounding is my new favourite thing.
I also have social events at Theatre Hawke's Bay to look forward to (so happy I found that little gem ๐) and plan on joining Bumble BFF... so that I am not always going to events alone! I recommend you check it out if you too, feel like you could do with more friends in your life.
If you're feeling alone... know that you are not alone. We all feel that way sometimes, even those who are married or those who are in a room filled with people. We're all in this together. Go outside, get some sunshine and ground yourself on the earth. It can do wonders for our health! ๐โ๏ธ๐

Facebook Post (click image for full shot):
This is my new morning routine. Grounding outside with my morning cup of coffee and lovely cats โ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ I plan on never spending another day ungrounded!
Highly recommend you watch the Earthing Movie on YouTube to learn more about the health benefits of getting grounded. Thankful that I finally have a way to feel more calm and connected to myself. It's a free gift from mother earth!
Call me a hippie if you like but don't knock it until you have tried it. Give it a couple weeks and see if you feel any better!
The negative electrons in the earth help bring our bodies back into balance and can reduce inflammation and aches and pains. They can also help thin out our blood and lower our blood pressure. We may feel calmer and more focused and sleep better. Some experience immediate results, for others it may take longer. Let me know if you ever give it a try ๐

I am getting more and more into earthing/grounding. I watched this great documentary about it last night: https://youtu.be/44ddtR0XDVU?si=s4B76...
Here's another I have also started watching: https://youtu.be/cRW0XO2xWn4?si=WnYP4...
I've been searching on Amazon for grounding mats, to use while I'm on my PC, or sitting anywhere in the house. There are also grounding sheets and covers that you can sleep on or under, but I don't have the money for those yet. For now, I will sleep on a cheap and cheerful mat.
I almost bought this double mat pack on Amazon (this is an affiliate link): amzn.to/4g14u4g but ended up buying a single mat on TradeMe (New Zealand Marketplace) as it came with a NZ plug adapter.
I will let you all know if/how my health improves over time thanks to daily grounding. This is something I should have done my whole life - if only I had known!
Do let me know if you watch these documentaries and if you too, plan on getting reconnected to Mother Earth ๐โค

I'll be filming another Vlog today ๐ I got a little lost in thought and "stuck" again these past few weeks, but today in NZ is the 1st of December and I'm ready for a fresh start! Will share the activities I will be doing to help me stay grounded, focused, happy and healthy. Simple things that I'm sure will make a big difference. Onwards and upwards! Let's go!

Welcome to the mother of my channels and the home of Simply Nobel ๐ก
My name is Heidi Nobel and this is where my YouTube journey began, on October 8th, 2018.
This is the space where I can be myself, and talk about anything and everything my heart desires! Health and Wellness and Mindful Living will likely be regular topics of conversation.
Feel free to check out some of my smaller YouTube channels: Nobel Act, Nobel Song and Nobel Stitch (currently inactive). I'm putting most of my time and energy into Simply Nobel, but I will post on my other channels when I feel inspired.
