Hey everyone, Cumlord's owner here. It is with deepest regrets that I come sharing this news today. After a year and a half battle with leukaemia we decided to put Cumlord to sleep. He was doing well with his chemo treatment, but for the past few years he was also battling with heart valve disease, loss of hearing, and recently loss of vision. He was really struggling and more health issues kept piling on. Despite all this he stayed strong and wasn't in any pain, but unfortunately his quality of life had still degraded and it wasn't going to get any better.
We decided it was all too much for the little fella and made the incredibly difficult decision to put him to sleep this Monday. I stayed with him during his very last moments and he went peacefully. We believe he was around 10-12 years old. He lived a fantastic life full of joy and adventure. He was born in America, sold to a breeder in Australia, briefly flew to Japan to make puppies and after the unfortunate passing of his previous owner he was given to me as a birthday gift in 2015. Since then he has been a shining star in my life and I have been honoured to have him.
From the bottom of my heart I'd like to thank everyone for letting me share my fluffy white son with you all. I can't overstate how grateful I am to be able to share the joy he gave me with others. It has meant the world to me. I loved him more than anything and he has improved my life with his positivity and I can only hope he has done the same for others. Even though he was a dog and he can't comprehend the concept of social media and the internet I like to think he still felt the love and support from people across the world. It brings me great comfort to know that he has wonderful fans keeping his memory alive and I feel so lucky because of it.
Lastly, I'd like to apologise for barely responding to any messages for the past year, please understand that it has been difficult for me to log into this account and look back on photos and videos of Cumlord when he was in good health. I am incredibly thankful for all the love and support. Thank you so much.
