World Skate is the governing body for all Sports performed on skating wheels.
Established in 1924, is the international federation officially recognised by the IOC and is based in Lausanne. With 11 roller-sports, World Skate is one of the few multi-sport governing bodies among the Olympic federations.
It encompasses national member federations from over 100 countries representing the 5 continents.
Having been granted Full Member status by ASOIF, recognised by GAISF as the governing body for 11 roller-sports and an IOC member since 1998, World Skate's recent progress in the world of action sports saw the introduction of skateboarding to the
Olympic programme for at least three Olympic cycles.
