There's a big difference between wanting to improve and simply beating yourself up.
The latter is counterproductive and stalls any personal growth.
Often these voices of self-criticism come from beliefs we picked up as children and teens.
But they're simply not true.
Be kind to yourself.
Be compassionate with yourself.
When you do that you'll be in a better position to change and improve.
And you'll realize you actually have been doing better than you thought.
You just couldn't see it with the self-judgement in the way.
