First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis was founded in 1881 and is a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association. Since 1916 when Rev. John Dietrich became the Senior Minister, the Society has been known as a leading force for Religious Humanism. A century later under our current Senior Minister, Rev. Dr. David Breeden, we more often speak of Congregational Humanism. While we impose no fixed creed, we are agreed upon our aspirations and core values.
We meet as a congregation on Sunday mornings at 10:30. This Assembly normally features a talk by one of our ministers, a variety of music, readings, and community news; videos of most talks are available on this channel. Visitors are always welcome.
