Also I’m not sure if I’m the only one who noticed that view counter changed, but now it seems to work in such a way that viewer has to watch at least half of the video for a view to count. You can guess what’s the result of that - less views… smh

Hey, this is not necessarily a thing I like to talk about, but I'd like to bring your attention to the fact of how stupid YouTube's copyright policy is.
Okay, so what happened? Today I've got a notification that a video of a song (that had been reuploaded on youtube countless times and had zero issues with copyright for over two years now) got 'manually reviewed' and copyright claimed.
First of all, what the fuck is this bullshit? I've seen dozens of reuploads having no problem with that, but mine happened to be the biggest one; so, of course, they had to monetize it. I fear now that for over two years I've been saying that the song is copyright-free because I legit thought that I resolved the copyright issue; that now they can get their videos demonetized as well. I'm so sorry to all the people that might have been struck with a copyright claim. Nowadays you can't upload even your own song without fear of getting your channel terminated. That's a fact.
So, question to @YouTube - why after TWO freaking years of this video being public you decided to 'manually' review my video and claim it? Not to mention that you basically KILL, yes KILL, every single music channel on this platform. I had to resolve this through my contacts with UMG & partnership to get the video public two years ago. Also, guys from @warnermusic helped a lot, so shoutout to them.
Now, after two years I have to battle it again. I'm tired of this stupidity and youtube's ignorance when it comes to the very own people their platform relies on. And yeah... youtube basically killed my channel at this point. For good this time.
Also, if you are on the topic, I recommend subscribing to @Saberspark He's a video coming out about how youtube's ads are basically like a pit of the hell with the type of content they advertise.
There's so much bullshit on this platform that it is almost unbelievable that it didn't die like google videos...
