The Museum of Natural History, in Halifax, is one of the 28 family-friendly museums that are part of the Nova Scotia Museum. At our Museum, you can discover ancient fossils, stunning Mi’kmaq artifacts, live tide pool creatures, Jupiter's moons, honeybees, Sable Island horses, marine life in The Gully, frogs, snakes, and a Whale!!
Our small group of dedicated staff are continually looking for innovative and fun ways to share our love for natural history with you! We will share videos about current exhibitions, popular natural history queries, and our amazing live animals, including the beloved Gus the Gopher Tortoise. Some videos were created to support our education programs or Learning at Home activities. Also, over the years, we have created many videos to be shown digitally at the Museum and now you can enjoy them at home.
