About
Since I can remember I have had a strong passion for music. At the age of 15 I began writing songs with my own unique style heavily rooted in my NYC urban upbringing and my Latin roots. With both of my parents from the Dominican Republic, I was raised around Latin music, primarily Bachata and romantic ballads. After exploring other musical genres I find that I greatly identify with Bachata music and have become fascinated with the romanticism of the Spanish language. It is this aspect that draws me to this genre, however, since my style is influenced by my NYC urban upbringing and Latin roots; calling myself anything other than a poet would be limiting myself.
