RJ retired as a Percussionist from the United States Army Band Field with over 20 years of service. Some of the most rewarding moments of his career have included performing and studying internationally with other musicians. During the last few years of his Army career RJ had the opportunity to perform alongside the Red Army Choir and Band in Sakhalin, Russia; traveled to Shanghai, China as part of our International Outreach Program where we conducted clinics and performed for the students of the Dynamix Performing Arts Academy; conducted a series of clinics in Jazz Studies to the children of the greater Baghdad area of Iraq; and performed with the Vietnam People's Army Ceremonial Military Band in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. After retiring from the U.S. Army, RJ earned his Bachelor’s and Master's Degree with a focus in Music Production from Berklee College of Music Online.
