This was a great experience for me to get to bond with some of you on a personal level, and I've even met a friend irl from this! Perhaps I'll do something similar in the future! :D

Z-A is almost definitely taking place within 20 years of XY. AZ has Floette, so it's confirmed after. The hologram tech we saw is reminiscent of Holocasters, so it's not THAT far in the future. The city looks mostly the same, with the cafe and architecture. Also the taxis are not super futuristic.
I'm willing to bet we're going to see recurring characters. Lysandre Labs, Professor Sycamore's Lab, Trevor's House, and Looker's base are all in Lumiose. We're definitely going to be seeing these places again, and likely the characters.
