Yasushi Nirasawa, Illustrator, sculptor and character designer Hailing from Japan. Nirasawa’s art style is a bizarre mix of organic and mechanical phantasmic creatures, elaborate costumes, and beautiful but unearthly women. His art would go on to be featured in many magazines, video games, films, tv shows and animation. He’s contributed concept art for Men in Black (1997), Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust (2000), Hellboy (2004), Godzilla Final Wars (2004) and popular Japanese tv series like Kamen Rider and GARO.

The Crow: City of Angels (1996) dir. Tim Pope

With last minute changes, reshoots and deleted scenes forced on the director by the infamous Harvey Weinstein. The sequel to the Crow was widely panned by critics and movie goers. Until in 1997 when a directors cut was released exclusively on Pay Per View. For the few who saw this cut claim it to be better than the theatrical release.

Yet this mythical cut of the film has been missing for 20+ years with no home video ever released to the public. Until then we can only hope some guy recorded the PPV on VHS back in 1997 and still has it laying around somewhere. Thanks Harvey...
