While this video is yknow, a joke. I do wanna say it points out something really interesting about the characters of bfdi.
Over the years we have seen these characters develop into fully-fledged people. Seeing Pin comfort her friend Book all these years after she drilled through her face in the most horrifying way possible is really emblematic of how dynamic these characters are.
It reminds me of how much me and my friend fought when we were younger, only to years later come around to comfort one another in moments of distress.
To me, it feels like in season 1 they were like 7-10 year old kids, competing for the silliness while still being cruel as children so often are. In bfdia we can see them mature, their values and morals shifting while they still tear each other apart as pre-teens who still are children often do. Bfb sees them act more as teenagers, people who know what theyre doing but are still very inexperienced and immature.
And finally, in tpot we can see these characters as fully-fledged adults. People who know what they want and what they need to do to get it. You can see it in the way Nickel treated ending the world in Bfdia in contrast to how he felt about Pillow in tpot. You can see it in the way Coiny and Pin act.
Tl;dr i often interpret the course of bfdi as a coming of age story

Fun fact: I wanted to be a dave and bambi composer ever since spring 2022. It took me all the way until spring 2023 to actually start.
I thought I was too old to develop a new skill, too untalented. I thought that if I started now, I would be a nobody and make nothing of note. I would be a self-taught composer who made slop.
But here i am. Hope that inspires one of you guys to actually give into that passion you're always dreaming about. Dont tell yourself you cant because of x or y, thats what i did for a year and i regret it.
Oh yeah also have a treehouse update. Not an update log because i didnt take this photo or do much recently.

I dont like it when composers stay in one place. As a composer you should always be trying new things with what the tools you are given.
Dave and bambi music is a medium, a way of expression. So dont get caught up in standards or rules. Do what you think is right.
