I'm honestly not even sure how many people are left to pay attention after multiple years of inactivity. Just under two years ago, my father and I were forced out of our apartment and moved in together so that A) I could keep an eye on him and B) to split costs of living. After I got home from work last night, I heard his alarm going off repeatedly, presumably for him to turn the lights on and be awake when I was expected to come home from work.
After knocking on his door, I opened it to find his lifeless body on the bed. His skin cold, his eyes at half-mast...and it was one of the most horrifying things I've ever been forced to see as I was told by 911 on the phone to try chest compressions. I knew it was futile...he was obviously gone for hours while I was at work.
I've been awake for hours...sitting in my room after the coroner took his body...I don't know what to do now. This is the hardest few hours I've ever dealt with and now it's just like I have no more tears to shed. If your parents are still alive, please, give them a hug. You never knew when it might be your last.

Is everyone enjoying Tears of the Kingdom? To celebrate the return of the Gerudo King after 17 years, I made an old-school style voice acting monologue in-character as the newest incarnation of the Demon King. There isn't that much in the way of heavy spoilers, more or less just headcanon stuff done in the ghastly style of voice Matt Mercer used in the prologue of the game.
If you like my Zelda stuff, by all means check it out and share it with any friends who might be Zelda fans!

So as a person who played WoW for seven years before leaving in 2018, I sat down to watch the trailer for its newest expansion: Dragonflight.
The problem I personally had with it is how vague everything sounded for the third time in a row. Since BfA's announcement, Blizzard has been very tight-lipped about things that are clearly very early in development. It's so unlike the much more fleshed out announcement regarding Legion, which had clearly been in development for far longer than both BfA and Shadowlands
The new Evoker class looks interesting, but the race it is tied to just looks atrocious to me personally. Both the humanoid and dragon forms just look...so off the mark, and reskinning Blood Elves and Worgen Females for the Humanoid/Dragon forms comes across as very cheap.
The new zones look visually appealing, if a bit safe, but the Art Department has never been the problem when it comes to WoW. Nonetheless, a cross between the zone style of Northrend and Pandaria isn't the worst thing to be derivative of.
The dragon riding looks like a fun minigame, but they failed to illustrate what the point of any of it was. Obviously it's to get around, but are there going to be some secrets or unlockable content for actually having player skill involved in Dragon Riding to get to difficult-to-reach areas? A fun minigame, aye, but one that seems like it's going to lose its shine after a few days. We need more info.
The return of talent trees needs more information as well, but I seriously couldn't care less because 95% of the people play to the meta anyway. It doesn't matter if there's seven talents or seventy talents, the end result is the same. Sure, you can mix and match talents on a per-fight basis, but how meaningful is that going to be when it's likely going to be the same slightly incremental % bonuses to your cooldowns?
Profession changes look like a giant trap that is going to encourage bots even more than ever by fulfilling public orders semi-automatically. And the changes to quality should just have taken FF14's binary model of HQ and NQ, because 4/5 quality may as well be 1/5 quality to many players. It also looks like quality is going to be RNG-based, which is a huge red flag for crafting gear or consumables, no different to those old crafts that had random enchantment and stat spreads. That's going to be a huge money and resource sink if quality is not 100% up to player stats and skill, something I question being possible in WoW's absurdly simplistic profession system.
This just reeks of desperation and prematurely teasing information that is way too early in development. Shadowlands' colossal failure caught them with their pants down and they had to pull the plug and smash their two raid plans together into one. There's nothing from this announcement that comes across as having more than six months of development, and if they plan to release it this year, that's a huge red flag. Legion looked much more polished than their last three announcements, and that's a bad omen for Dragonflight.

I'm not particularly sure if I'll ever make a video on this issue, but after finally reaching a bit of emotional calmness after a day of severe issues, I feel the need to explain something.
I'm currently in the process of finally looking for some manner of emotional and mental help, because I believe I've tacked down the likely culprit of my wild, chaotic behavior.
I strongly suspect, and will likely have it confirmed after a consultation, that I suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I suffer from a majority of the symptoms described by most analyses, but because most of them are exhibited inwardly, it's likely the quiet variant. That makes it even more self-destructive, because most of the outward signs cannot be seen by a third party, that makes intervention and timely diagnosis much more difficult.
I've burned a great many bridges in my life while I'm still standing on them, and all in the name of imaginary or minor things that would seem ridiculous to an ordinary person. The constant emptiness and lack of fulfillment have led to a very sad and pathetic adult life that I've had unsafe thoughts about on a more frequent basis. The potential that I may have had, and failed to live up to, feeds on itself and has led to a more rapid process of dismantling my own life for objectively stupid reasons and a constant depression.
To my viewers over the years, I do appreciate you, whether you're still here and reading, or if you abandoned ship over the last decade and a half of my obvious instability. If it's the latter, I totally understand...
I'm not sure what, if anything, is next for me. My first priority is to get a definitive diagnosis. If and when my suspicions are confirmed, it's hard to say whether the constant therapy required to manage it is something that can be justified.
Thanks for reading, and stay safe everyone.

Stream 1 of 2 for this week will be starting in two hours! Tonight at 7:30 PM Eastern, I'll be continuing with the Link's Awakening Remake, and on Saturday the next stream of Final Fantasy 7 will happen!
16 - 0
I'll be going live on Twitch for a Final Fantasy XIV stream in just over five minutes. I think the format for an MMO like that is better suited to Twitch as a platform, while I'll be keeping my Single-Player stuff here on Youtube.

Such a fail! Stream starts in ten minutes, but I wasn't aware that Dread Mode actually required completion of Hard Mode to unlock. I guess tonight is just going to be me playing through some Hard Mode. Oh well. At least I'll probably get much further than a potential Dread Mode playthrough.

Streaming Metroid Dread in just over an hour. It starts at 7 PM EST. What'll I be doing?
Dread Mode. Get hit and die. I can't imagine it will be too long of a stream on account of the difficulty being a meme, but stop on by nonetheless! How far am I going to get before the inevitable ragequit, I wonder...
15 - 1
Final Fantasy 7 will be streamed live tonight! Pushing the stream back a half hour due to pressing family concerns, but FF7 starts at 7 PM EST. I'm...quite likely to lay into the remake quite heavily as I play the original and hopefully can at least make it to Wall Market.
12 - 2
Live Stream Tonight at 6:30 PM. It's going to be more Link's Awakening, which is sure to be a chill, pleasant experience as opposed to the endless ranting I will do tomorrow as well as the deathfest to come on Thursday.
