I was born and spent my early life in the beautiful city of Kabul, Afghanistan. Although war had been raging all around me, I managed to find plenty of love and affection all around and most noticeably within my family. Having been surrounded by a universe full of beauty, I was always fascinated by it and all that made it possible, nature, life, and freedom. No different than most any child, I was curious about everything that I could imagine or experience. When alone in my bedroom, I remember turning the light on and off constantly in an effort to catch the light beam penetrate the darkness. Needless to say, I did not succeed in my endeavor, however, I was not discouraged. As an adult, having been exposed to a variety of cultures, I have developed a taste for all kinds of musical genres. From Western Classical to Indian classical, Western Pop to Afghan Pop, I enjoy them all. I hope you will enjoy visiting my page and come back for more Afghan music.
