About 3 to 4 months ago, I started to grow a big interest in Sanrio characters! Part of the reason is because I started to play the Hello Kitty Island Adventure (think Animal Crossing but with the Sanrio characters!) which was sooo cute. Mostly, it's been my obsession with refreshing the Sanrio store every night because I love checking the new merch and it is so irresistibly cute. Somehow, I've still managed to not buy any merch yet... Let's hope my wallet can stay closed LOL. Ever since then, I've been imagining what the characters would look like in my designs. So I started with our cute and sweet girl, MyMelody! I read that she actually debuted as Little Red Riding Hood, which explains her pink hood! My design is inspired by her love of ribbons and flowers, with tons of frills. In the game, she works as the island builder, so I thought a giant bag for her tools, gloves and elbow protection for when she's working on furniture, and an apron to keep her pencils and pads for drawing up ideas would be perfect! But MyMelody can be a little forgetful about her knee protection... luckily, she has tons of bandaids for such accidents! And, of course, comfort is key, so crocs are a must! β€οΈ Y'all helped me by voting for her color scheme like hair, eyes, and outfit in my Instagram stories, so thanks so much! I hope you like her! I am, of course, working on a little illustration to go with the design hehe... Hopefully, that'll come out in a week or two! Have a great weekend, y'all! π·
