The visceral and angry reactions I get from some Black women—especially mothers—when I point out that the majority of Black men are childless reveal a deeper issue. Many Black women seem eager to cast Black men as the "bad guys," carrying the stereotype of irresponsibly fathering children all over the place. But this narrative doesn’t align with reality.

Data shows that 54% of Black men are childless, while 61% of Black women are mothers. This gap is telling. The attempts to dismiss or discredit these statistics often involve deflection or mental gymnastics, highlighting a reluctance to address uncomfortable truths. Instead, some women choose to label anyone presenting these facts as "hating on Black women."

What’s troubling is how many Black men are unfairly criticized for parenthood—something most of us are not even participating in. One woman responded to me with, “Black women are the most educated.” While education is an admirable accomplishment, it has little to do with the broader conversation about how children are being brought into the world. In fact, the most educated Black women, like the most educated Black men, often delay having children to prioritize stability.

Another deflection I heard was, “Black women have more businesses.” Again, this avoids the central issue. If Black women are thriving as entrepreneurs, why do we still see high unemployment rates among Black youth? Why aren’t these teens working for these successful businesses? This contradiction is hard to ignore: how can economic success and community struggle exist side by side?

Misinterpretation of statistics is another issue. For example, some claim that 80% of Black men are fathers, misreading a CDC chart. The chart actually states that of Black men who are fathers, 80% will have had at least one child by age 40. This does not mean 80% of all Black men are fathers. By this flawed logic, we would assume that by age 70, 100% of Black men are fathers—a clear misunderstanding. This would suggest that all Black adults past a certain age are parents. This is what happens when someone is blinded by their emotions.

The resistance to acknowledging that most Black men are childless is rooted in stereotypes that Black women are trying to keep alive because it gives them leverage. Additionally, while the stereotypes do apply to the men many Black women are most attracted to, or live in their environments many women overlook and dismiss childless men entirely, assuming they don’t exist or aren’t worth considering due to lack of interests. Women tend to dismiss and move on. These ignored men often make up the 54% who do not have children.

As a childless Black man, I reject the idea that I should carry the stigma of “abandoned kids” or “irresponsible fatherhood” because of choices others made. The responsibility lies between those individuals (PARENTS), not with all Black men. Yet, some women generalize this behavior across the entire demographic, perpetuating the false idea that every Black man is living irresponsibly with a harem of women just because there are 2 million more Black women available to Black men. This claim isn't supported when you consider the data from 2011, which revealed that 59% of Black women (Cassandra Dorius) had children with more than one man, while only 38% of Black men had children with more than one woman during the same period. This discrepancy highlights that the narrative often placing the responsibility solely on Black men doesn't align with the actual data.

The numbers further highlight the disparity: 61% of a larger group (Black women) versus 46% of a smaller group (Black men). With 13.4 million Black women and 9.2 million Black men, the impact of these differences is magnified in a community as small as ours. Our community has the largest parental gap of any racial group. The percentage of Black fathers is nearly identical to that of White fathers, with 46% of Black men and 44% of White men being fathers. In contrast, a greater percentage of women in both groups are mothers, with 61% of Black women and 54.6% of White women having children.

This narrative is harmful. It creates false perceptions that influence how others interact with Black men and even how some Black men see themselves. These stereotypes are not rooted in truth and do a disservice to all of us.

As a childless man, I refuse to be labeled a "baby daddy." While I support holding fathers accountable, I will not accept blanket generalizations about fatherhood that unfairly target the majority of Black men who do not have children. This stigma is unjust, and I will challenge it every time.

A higher percentage of Hispanic

non-Hispanic White (54.6%) and
non-Hispanic Asian (47.9%) women.
● The percentage of Hispanic men,

Dear White Nationalists - THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE MAD ABOUT?! THIS IS THE GREAT REPLACEMENT?!

THIS is what has some of you crashing out?! Really!?!

2.1% of married White women and 2.3% of married White men had a non-White spouse. 1.0% of all married White men were married to an Asian American woman, and 1.0% of married White women were married to a man classified as "other".

About 12% of white men who are newlyweds marry someone of a different race or ethnicity. This is similar to the percentage of white women who marry outside their race, which is about 10%.

And white men are only procreating with just over half of white women. So you have 45.4% of white women that NO ONE TOUCHES, but you're concerned about what's on Jamal's plate?

2020 81 million white women.

2020 19.91 million Black men.

Black single Black men from 1 to 99 years old could get with ALL the childless white women who will never have kids, and it wouldn't put a dent in the white population 46% of 81 million is 37 million. There were 19.91 million Black men in 2020.

Why is this sht a topic of conversation? Why is this sht even being debated? The number of Black men marrying white women doesn't even remotely put a dent in the white populations birth rates. It literally doesn't even scratch the paint, but let mainstream media and social media tell it - BLACK MEN ARE STEALING ALL THE PRECIOUS WHITE WOMEN.

This is something that I identified before - While the percentages within minority groups are NOTICABLE, the white population is so MASSIVE that their IR numbers don't even make a dent in their populations. White people's birth rates are low NOT because of IR dating, but because they're not Fking each other and producing children.

Do not let the White Supremacists and Nationalists tell you otherwise.

Interracial partnerships in the United States exhibit distinct patterns when analyzed by race and gender. According to data from the Pew Research Center, the most common interracial pairings among newlyweds in 2015 were:

White and Hispanic: This combination accounted for 42% of all intermarriages.

White and Asian: Representing 15% of intermarriages.

White and Black: Making up 11% of intermarriages.

Gender disparities are notable within these pairings:

Black Men and White Women: Black men are more likely to intermarry than Black women. In 2015, 24% of recently married Black men had a spouse of a different race or ethnicity, compared to 12% of recently married Black women.
PEW RESEARCH CENTER

Asian Women and White Men: Asian women are more likely to intermarry than Asian men. In 2015, 36% of Asian newlywed women had a spouse of a different race or ethnicity, compared to 21% of Asian newlywed men.
PEW RESEARCH CENTER

Interracial marriages between White men and Asian women represent a small percentage of all marriages in the United States. According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, approximately 1.0% of all married White men are married to Asian American women.
WIKIPEDIA

If we know that Asian women and White men are the 2nd largest interracial coupling, and White men with Asian women is only 1% of the total white population, we know that Black white unions are even less than that as a percentage of the white community that has married Black.

Interracial marriage rates among White women in the United States have been relatively low compared to other racial groups. According to data from the Pew Research Center, in 2015, approximately 10% of recently married White women were intermarried, meaning they had a spouse of a different race or ethnicity.
PEW RESEARCH CENTER
This rate has increased from 4% in 1980, indicating a gradual rise in interracial marriages over the decades.

Keep in mind that percentage of newly weds is not the same thing as the percentage of their population, which would reduce the percentage, so again, we're talking somewhere around 1% of the white population for both genders are married out. 1 out of 100 people.

Obviously, what's not on here are the KOW, as the since the approval rate for IR marriages may not be there, I'm sure the "unsanctioned relationships" and the children produced by those pairings is much marginally higher.
