Lajan Slim is a Haitian-American rapper from Broward County, Florida. He is from Lauderhill, a small city 30 minutes drive from Miami on I-95.
In a Genius interview he says he got his name from his first plug, who was also Haitian, because he was, “all about the lajan” which means “money” in Haitian. Lajan grew up in Dade county in the Scott projects but later moved to Broward county when he was around 12 years old.
Since the release of “Haitians,” Lajan Slim has caught the attention of Drake, 2 Chainz, and Pusha T. Which lead to a deal with Def Jam.
