About
Our band, Mélange, was formed in February, 2008, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mélange is a medley of elements that are not alike; our work seeks to fuse music from Bangladesh and the United States. The two countries are half a world apart and their music being so different, the elements in our pastiche clash, concede and but yet harmonize.
Our lyrics are almost always in Bangla (AKA Bengali), but the emotions in our work turn universal in the process. All the places, views and peoples between the two hemispheres unite us, and blur many a nuances. Welcome to our voyage.
