Growth Mindset
My mindset truly transformed when I began my loc journey. For years, I was the woman who loved experimenting with multiple hairstyles, never settling on one for too long. So, when I decided to lock my hair, many people around me thought, Here we go again—just another phase. But deep down, I knew this time would be different.

Locs represented more than just a hairstyle; they symbolized a commitment to embracing my natural self, imperfections and all. It wasn’t easy at first because of my ever-changing personality, but I was determined to stick with it. As I started the process, I found myself not only embracing my natural hair but also growing as a person. Now, two years later, I can confidently say I’m still in love with my decision.

This experience taught me a powerful lesson: a focused and determined mindset can make you accomplish what once seemed impossible. It’s not just about hair—it’s about believing in yourself and committing to your goals. I know now that whatever I set my mind to, I can and will succeed.

I’m not sure what my next hair journey will be—maybe I’ll go low or even shave it all off. Whatever I decide, I’m confident that my choice will reflect a shift in my mindset, symbolizing the stage of life I’m in at that moment. My hair has always been more than just a style; it’s a representation of my growth, resilience, and evolving identity. Whatever the next chapter holds, I know it will align with the journey I’m meant to take.
