BOSCO – Bangalore Oniyavara Seva Coota – is a not-for-profit charitable organization, established in 1980 by the Salesians of Don Bosco and registered in 1986 under the Society’s Registration Act of 1960. BOSCO, the acronym is “Bangalore Oniyavara Seva Coota” which means, the organization of those who serve on the streets of Bangalore or literally, “the association of those who serve youngsters on the streets of Bangalore”.
We reach out to children and young persons who are “at-risk”. Children living or earning on streets, children in conflict with law, orphan children, children from dysfunctional families, out of school children, children who are into substance abuse, who are victims of trafficking, child marriage or child labour, neglected or abused children, unaccompanied children, missing children are some of the major groups of “Young at Risk – YaR” that we care for and work with.
