In 2019, I've created peach restores mesmerized by the idea of having a fan project to digitally restore Michael's short films. After all, he was proud of his work and as a fan, so was I.
And I was proud to be a pioneer in using, what at the time was new, AI technology to enhance images and videos of an artist as big as Michael. And most of all, I was HAPPY to know people, his fans, were enjoying watching his short films in a new light. I felt accomplished every time I posted a new video and people said they were happy after watching it.
Of course it wasn't perfect; as I've always said, it was all very experimental and I had hopes to keep improving after each new video, which I think I did! Videos like the Ebony/Jet interview are here to prove we can do amazing work with the power of AI.
All I've ever wanted was to create a safe, happy space where we could all enjoy and celebrate Michael Jackson, his life and his work.
But of course, some people just can't stand watching others just being happy.
I've faced countless messages of hate, racism and ultimately a series of mass reports of my tweets, which led to the termination of my Twitter account.
And I'll let it go. I'm in a great state of mind and I'm leaving knowing I've never did anything to harm anyone in this fandom, even the ones who hated me the most.
For those who supported the project and felt as happy as I am throughout the years, thank you so much!
I hope all of you enjoy what's left of peach restores while it lasts - after all, they can still shut down this channel as well. Take care, everybody.
