I'm creating a new series of videos!

What makes them unique is that they cover each topic from the 3 most important perspectives;

The Scientific
The Philosophical
The Spiritual

How do you feel about that?

--INFORMATION--

For those who still haven't heard me rave about it, the next Heal Your Brain Cohort will begin on September 1st.

And everyone who enrolls before August 26th can claim the early bird pricing ;)

A bunch of you already enrolled so I'm excited to see more faces of the community.

The link will be the pinned comment.

New Concept: Compound Ease.

Every single time you do "the right thing" instead of the easy thing makes the next time easier.

That's why: the earlier you start building up your wave of compound ease the more successful you'll be in all areas of life and status.

**All Skills Are Useless Without The Discipline To Execute Them**

I started out like everyone else...

I was miserable because I wasn't in control of my impulses.

Trying to get through anything even *slightly* challenging was pure torture.

But those failures taught me my N.1 lesson yet.

--Your Success In Life Is Capped By Discipline, Not Skill--

When I say success I mean anything that increases your status in the areas we are all chasing; health, wealth, and love.

Think about it...

Want to get in shape? Discipline.

Want to double your income? Discipline.

Want to thrive in a loving relationship? Discipline.

Once I managed to heal my aMCC, the part of your brain responsible for discipline, it became part of my character...

It felt like I finally found the discipline I always had but couldn't tap into...

I actually wanted to do the hard things now, anything else was painfully boring.

Your brain is shrinking.

Not the whole thing...

But the part responsible for discipline.

I healed this part of my brain in 1200 days.

Here is the 1 habit that will make your disciplined brain (aMCC) grow:

Your anterior midcingulate cortex (aMCC) controls willpower & tenacity.

It's bigger in those who:
-Have high emotional control.
-Have high self-discipline.
-Have high levels of focus.

Research has shown we can activate and therefore grow our aMCC without any fancy gear:

The 1 habit you need to follow is: Voluntary Discomfort

Anything that makes you:
-Feel resistance.
-Feel uncomfortable.
-Want to run away screaming.

But here is the interesting twist;

There are no universal habits of voluntary discomfort.

So how do YOU grow your aMCC?

I for instance like cold showers.

But because I enjoy them they won't grow my aMCC.

ACTIONABLY to grow your aMCC you must:

Do something YOU hate, no matter if others love it or hate it.

🌟 Answer This Question To Yourself ASAP 🌟 Answering this question has completely changed with how much care I allocate every hour of my days, and how I feel about the work I do.

Now, it's your turn to answer this:

If you and I had a conversation three years from today, and you were looking back over those three years, what has to have happened in your life, both personally and professionally, for you to feel happy with your progress?

If you are not clear on your answer to this question, how are you even deciding what to spend your precious mental energy on EVERY DAY?

Comment your answer below.

If this question remains unanswered you are actively giving up on your future self.

Do not procrastinate on this.

Have you FALLEN OFF? I remember when I first discovered the world of online self-improvement and going through the habits every day was both exciting and deeply impactful for me.

I started smiling so much more and had my days planned out in great detail.

Weirdly enough since making videos in the space I have noticed myself caring less and less about the tiny habits I used to praise as the most important parts of my day.

Yesterday Hamza, one of the biggest YouTubers in the self-improvement space dropped a video talking about exactly that, how he fell off BECAUSE of the successes he was exposed to. It hit me deeply.

I won't go into details but action has been taken since then on my side.

Now I want to know how this is for you. Do you genuinely still meditate, journal, read, exercise, watch your diet, commit time to social interaction, and all the other constituents of self-improvement?

Do you think they are useful, do you think they are cope?

Much love and own your mind,
Jona

PS: I don't think they are useless. I think we simply get too arrogant to admit that we need them as time moves on...

PPS: For the real ones waiting for the next video ;) A new video will drop soon on how I manage to consistently read a book every roughly 1.5 weeks and actually implement what I learn into my life.
