Clips from the archive. Two Nice Girls (1986-1992) was a band based in Austin TX who signed to Rough Trade (US) in 1988, releasing two full-length albums and an EP before dissolving in 1992. Known for their lush vocal harmonies and original, funny, heartfelt and socio-political songs; also known for toying with a good cover song. Genre-hopping and gender bending, they entertained a generation of lesbians and the men and women who love them. Original members were Laurie Freelove, Gretchen Phillips & Kathy Korniloff, later joined by drummer Pam Barger. Laurie departed the band after the first record was released and was replaced by Meg Hentges, and the quartet toured the US and Canada extensively from 1989 to 1992.
