so people wanted me to break down my covid safety shopping cart so I'm gonna explain why I'm getting each item..
note: you are likely looking at the preview of the image. make sure to click on it to see the full thing.

First, the masks: I picked those based on lots of covid safety content creators and research. they are a step up from a kn95 IMO since they are thicker and have a better seal. they're not the masks I wear walking into the grocery store but I will for my classes.
Next, the xylitol nasal spray, there have been early studies to show that xylitol, as it is antimicrobial, is effective at prevention of covid. it can build up protective antibodies in nose.
Additionally, there is the mouth spray and the gum. as far as I know, there aren't any studies on these specifically. however, due to xylitol being affective nasally, I like to have "on the go" oral methods that are less sensorily intense. again, this might be entirely ineffective. but in my opinion, it could do nothing or it could do something positive so might as well. I also like chewing gum and the gum is good for oral hygiene/preventing gingivitis -- as well as the spray in mouth. also both help with good breath
next, the CPC mouthwash is one of the effective mouthwashes found in several studies. cpc is the second best thing to gargle in mouth to lower viral load according to one study
lastly, the povidone iodine is the best thing to lower covid viral load in that same study I just referenced and should not be used for more than 7 days at a time. this will likely be used if I was recently in a very high risk environment. ex: on a plane. however, this should mostly be used if you get covid. it also is helpful for other kinds of sick (as are most of these items).

this is. not actual medical advice. I am not a doctor. this is what works for me and the precautions I'm choosing to take based on my own research
