Here is yet another part that has been sold at a price higher than MRP by 99rpm because latest prices are being charged for older stock. Most of these parts aren't available in service centers and Bajaj distributors, as a result one has to buy these parts online at exorbitant prices. Note that shipping charges are over and above the prices charged for spares.

Prices of these parts have been raised a lot, making car spare parts much cheaper in comparison! Just check the price of genuine Bosch disc rotor of a Suzuki Swift which costs less than 1100 rupees!

Bajaj & 99rpm can get away with this because of lenient laws and equally lenient implementation.

Just ordered some spares from 99rpm. This speedometer cable was sold to me for rupees 283 while MRP is merely 173 rupees, overcharging a spare by 110 rupees. This is the reason why Indian e-commerce websites fail to compete against the global businesses.

Notice what's wrong with the bike in the picture? Instead of cleaning bike and getting it ready to shoot a few scenes for the upcoming videos, I had to spend entire day to fix multiple cables that were chewed in similar fashion. Rear brake switch has to be replaced but luckily main wiring harness is still fine. At least for now bike is fit again but I'll have to spend some other day to clean it because many bike relating videos are pending already.

Regarding rodents, till date I have spent a few thousand rupees in rodenticides and now situation seems to be under control because no further damage is being done by them anywhere. This accelerator cable was also chewed earlier that's why I started rusting. Seems like I should ride more often to avoid leaving bike stationery for longer periods, but it is easier said than done.

Rats never stop chewing electrical cables in my case. At first they badly damaged my motorcycle's wiring harness twice, which I repaired after spending a few days diagnosing and replacing every faulty cable and now they have damaged my genset's cables (take a look at a cable that's visibly cut in two). I can't keep this inside as it is pretty heavy to move around and few hours of load shedding is a daily occurrence here. I cannot stop mice from entering the balcony either.

So the question is, what is the best way to prevent them from damaging my stuff? I have used rodent cakes but they aren't effective much because mice are really clever here, they don't fall for that. Even if they do, it is even a bigger problem because stray cats and dogs eat them which kills them along and this bothers me.
I have used rat traps but they aren't very convenient. Ultrasonic mice repellents are gimmicks that don't work either. Now suggest some method which will actually work to keep the rodents away.
