When 19-year-old Dairy Queen manager, Joey Prusak was serving a blind customer, he noticed the man drop a $20 bill. The woman behind the blind man grabbed the $20 bill and put it in her purse. Prusak then instructed the woman to return the money. After she said no, the teenager made her leave. “I told her, ‘Ma’am, you can either return the $20 bill or you can leave the store, because I’m not going to serve someone as disrespectful as you.'" The woman left. But then, Prusak returned to the blind man and gave him $20 of his money. Prusak notes, "I was just doing what I thought was right. I did it without even really thinking about it."

"Every year for the last ten years, my wife and I have done a reenactment of our 'first date.' We originally met on MySpace - my wife had just moved to Sherman, Texas and was looking for new potential friends in the area. When she came across my profile, she added me and I accepted. After looking at her page, I noticed she was a former collegiate athlete, just like myself, and decided to send her a message. We played the pen pal game for a while until finally, I gathered up the nerve to ask her to lunch. We decided to meet at a Chili's restaurant close to where she was living at the time. We ended up eating and talking for four hours and the rest, as they say, is history. Now every year, on the anniversary of our first date, I drop her off at the front of the same restaurant and she goes inside to get us a table - just like she did the night we met. We attempt to sit in that same booth and even wear the exact same clothes we wore on our first date. The only difference over the years has been our growing family in tow. Now we have four children, and what was once just a table for two is now a table for six.”

”This is the side of law enforcement that we do not hear about enough. This is Linnea, a Placerville resident and Deputy Lane. This weekend, Linnea called because she was feeling extremely lonely. Linnea lives alone and has no family members nearby. Deputy Lane responded, spent some quality time with Linnea and ensured she had everything that she needed. After chatting about her “very interesting life”, Deputy Lane had to go on to other calls for service. Before leaving, Deputy Lane contacted Sierra Chaplaincy and requested a chaplain to respond for further company and is locating other resources for Linnea. This “Total Care” is exactly what we look for in our deputies. Great work Deputy Lane!”

Beautiful ❤️ This teenager was filling up his Mustang when the older gentleman pulled up with his can for the mower and was patiently waiting. The teenager noticed, pulled the nozzle out and said "Sir will you please let me see your can?" He filled it up as the older gentleman objected. When the kid finished, he put the nozzle back into his car to finish filling up his own. He refused to take money from the gentleman and wished him a wonderful day. They are all over this country and they come in many shapes and colors. Teach your children to be like this. It all starts at home with the parents. Be a parent, not a buddy.
