Jesus sent the twelve off with these instructions. “As you go, declare publicly that the kingdom of heaven has arrived. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse people with skin diseases, cast out demons.” Matthew 10:7-8 NTFE

Jesus instructed His disciples to do four things: Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse people with skin diseases, and cast out demons. As disciples of Christ, which of these have we accomplished? Isn't it remarkable that the likelihood that the average American Christian has achieved one of these tasks is next to none? Of course disciples also preach the Gospel, but without the power, who will listen?

As impossible as the tasks appear to us, if we are disciples we must a least try to obey. Only by trying will we ever learn. Its better to try and fail than not try at all. I am here to help share what I learn as I go. This is an incredible journey. Come follow me as I follow Christ!

I believe God’s desires to shape mankind into beings He can trust with absolute power, because that is who He is.

By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 1 John 4:17 NASB

God excercises absolute power with perfect love. Neither dominance nor cowardice displays self-confidence. Love and liberty are the hallmarks of real authority.

God’s will is for you to be a portal for heaven on earth.
Satan wills that you should be a portal for Hell on earth.
By God’s grace, the choice is yours.

The Deliverer Has Come

“So the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord was concerned about their affliction, then they bowed low and worshiped.” Exodus 4:31 NASB

Deliverance ministry is an effective evangelistic tool because it offers real help, through real power and authority, for real problems. If you have demons in your life, nothing can deliver you except the blood of Jesus. You may discipline yourself to subdue a demon, but you can't evict demons and keep them out without the blood of Jesus. When people who “don't believe in God” witness the power of God through deliverance, they fall down and worship Him.

Jesus had good reasons behind His command to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, and drive out demons (Matthew 10:8).

He swore an oath to Abraham our father,
To give us deliverance from fear and from foes,
so we might worship Him,
Holy and righteous before His face to the end of our days.

Luke 1:73-75 NTFE

Merry Christmas! The Deliverer has come!

Where Are You?

God looks for men, even right now. You are in the presence of Jesus in your home, at your work, in your car, in the church, while you are alone, with friends, everywhere, and at all times. Do you want Him to find you right now?

But the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” And he said, “I heard the sound of you walking in the garden and I was afraid, because I was naked, so I hid myself.”
Genesis 3:9-10 RSV

What would it mean for Jesus to find you right now?

God doesn’t ask questions because He is ignorant. He asks questions so that we can hear our answers. God knows where you are, but He asks, “Where are you?” so you can hear your own answer.

“I heard the sound of You in the garden and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” Genesis 3:9-10 RSV

Ah! So, Adam knew He was naked, and that is a valid reason to want to stay hidden. But how did Adam discover his nakedness?

“Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”
Genesis 3:11 RSV

God knows the marks of a satanic curse. When you make a covenant with satan, a curse will activate. All repeated, habitual sin is a covenant with Satan because it is an exchange. Satan offers us relief, pleasure, or provision in exchange for a measure of allegiance, service, or worship. Satan promised Adam wisdom, and Adam gave Satan the reverence of obedience. Satan marked Adam with shame, which caused him to hide from God.

God’s searching and probing questions brought Adam to a sobering conclusion: He is naked and hiding behind a bush because he listened to a snake.

Where are you?

You say, “I’m rich! I’ve done well! I don’t need anything!”—But you don’t know that you are miserable, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. Revelation 3:17 NTFE

If you are rich and well off and in need of nothing, do not hide from the Lord. He is looking for you. Will you say to him, as the prophet Isaiah said, “Here I am, send me!”Or do you have another plan, another agenda, or another master? If you don’t want the Lord to find you, if you don’t want to reply, “Here I am, send me!” it is because you are in league with the devil. You have eaten his fruit and must carry out his agenda.

You can exchange your rags for riches, but it will require a change of mind, a break from old allegiances, and a turning away from idols of silver, gold, and sex.

This is my advice: buy gold from Me refined in fire—that’ll make you rich!—and white clothes to cover yourselves and prevent your shameful nakedness being seen; and also healing ointment to put on your eyes, so that you will be able to see. When people are my friends, I tell them when they’re in the wrong, and I punish them for it; so stir up your spirits and repent!
Revelation 3:18-20 NTFE

God comes looking for you because He is your friend. He is calling to you: “Where are you?”

What will you answer?

There is no shame for making a mistake in ministry. The only people who don't make mistakes in ministry are those who do not try.
