This recently upload is now the latest to join our rescan playlist, for more videos like this visit our channel or follow us on our other social platforms for more New Zealand archival content.

We are fast approaching the holiday and as a send off to 2024, we have created a compilation from the collection highlighting the personal records/home movies we care for.
Ngā Taonga wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
For this year’s holiday compilation, we delved into our collection of personal records, also known as home movies, in search of vintage summer road trips.
Nei rā a Ngā Taonga, e mihi atu ana ki a koutou katoa. Kia haumaru, kia manahau i tēnei raumati.
Mō te kohinga kiriata hararei i tēnei tau, kua tīpako mātou i ētahi kiriata runaruna nō te kohinga e whakaatu ana i ngā haerenga ā-raumati i te hikuwai o te tau.

After a long break from creating our last 'Then & Now' archival video Dunedin | Ōtepoti (2020) it is time we start looking at where the archive can go next in Aotearoa? The team at Ngā Taonga are currently searching through the collection to select taonga where we can 'revisited' to capture and compare the modern scenery. Is there somewhere in the country you believe we should look into? Please share your thoughts in the comments below, and if you haven't already, please check out the Then & Now playlist on our channel for more videos like this.

New super quick 'behind-the-scenes' video just dropped of our kaimahi spending some time at our local marae (Pipitea marae, Wellington)
A special thanks to our hosts for welcoming and taking such great care of us while we came together to reflect on our Organisational values as well as a chance for us all to practice te reo Māori and our waiata.

This year’s programme highlights two recently re-preserved and digitised Waitangi Day films from the TVNZ Collection. From an extravagant pageant for Queen Elizabeth II in 1974 to a several thousand strong hīkoi led by Eva Rickard 10 years later, two very different events at Waitangi Treaty Grounds are presented.
