Wake up, lads, new thumbnail just dropped. I'll see all Ben 10 fans on the 27th for a full-length AMV.

YouTube auto deletes posts/comments where I swear now, apparently, so I apologize that the following memo lacks any no-no words.
All four of my Promare AMVs got copyright striked and blocked in all countries by Molebeat, despite 1) them falling under fair use, and 2) Molebeat not having any legal grounds to claim Promare. Anyway, I don't feel like going to court for videos that would never break 1k anyway, and I'm not planning on reuploading them here or anywhere else. I always won't be editing with Promare again.
And as for Molebeat... Words cannot describe the depth of my hatred.

It's been so long (ten months, actually) since I did an AMV to a full, uninterrupted song. This project is a MOTHERFUCKER, but it looks great so far and I'm excited to post it when I'm done! (Probably going to get, like, no views though since it's for such a lowkey fandom, oof.)

I won't be uploading or doing any editing for a while, as my laptop broke and it's going to take me a while to get it fixed/find a replacement. I have my Ko-Fi account linked if any of you want to help, financially, but other than that it's going to take me a while to get the motivation to edit again, emotionally.
I saved up that footage for years, and editing programs aren't cheap. I'll get it all back, eventually, I just have no idea how long it will take and that's more upsetting than I want to admit...
Thanks to all of you, for being subscribed at all, and for any patience/kind words while I try to fix this quickly.

I haven't posted in a few weeks (sorry about that, I've been super easily distracted lately), but I come baring good news!
I auditioned for Childhood Creativity Studios, and I was accepted! For those of you who haven't heard of CCS, I highly recommend checking out their videos. Here's a link to their channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCT8O...
They edit only with cartoons, which just so happens to be my livelihood, so I should hopefully be plenty frequent on there! But we'll have to see how it goes, and your all's guess is as good as mine. Cross our fingers and hope this lovely opportunity goes well!

Itâs still Saturday in my timezone, so Iâm technically not late!
Anyway, todayâs fic recommendation is for Homestuck. Considering that itâs the fandom I built this channel on, itâs not much of a shock.
Side note. If anyone wants to do a video debating DaveKat, hit me up. My stance is that itâs a wonderful, loving relationship and pretty much perfect. I will fight and die for them. But, moving onâŚ
Todayâs fic has, unfortunately, been discontinued. Itâs called, âDonât Forget the Sun,â by Weevilo707 on ArchiveOfOurOwn. And since itâs on AO3, it comes with fanart. Drawings in every chapter, last I checked!
Where do I start? Itâs been a while since I reread it to be honest. I know that it will never be finished, but I cannot overstate how much I adore this fic. I love the authorâs world-building and characterizations and the different writing styles with the various chapters.
The main ship of this fic is Dave and Karkat. I think that they sort of hint at Bro fucking Johnâs cousin (Jake, obviously), but itâs so mild that I donât really think it matters. If youâre a fan of slow burns, youâll love this one. Iâm a huge fan of cultural miscommunications and language barriers, and boy, is there plenty of it in this fic. Reading the shenanigans that result solely from the species barrier between trolls and humans is such a delight.
Iâve read a lot of DaveKat fics in my time, and honestly, this is one of, if not the, best ones Iâve ever gotten my hands on. I even have it downloaded on my phone, so I can reread my favorite parts when I find myself without internet and in need of some entertainment. Itâs funny and charming, but also surprisingly down-to-earth for a story about an alien whoâs friends sent him off-world so that he wouldnât be killed for having the wrong blood color.
I can remember finding this fic almost three years ago, and Iâm still not over it. I donât care that itâs discontinued, honestly. If you like DaveKat, youâll love this work of art.

It's Saturday again, which means that it's time for me to do a fanfiction review. Unfortunately, I've been super busy this last week (what with school cramming in some finals for before the break and my higher-level classes assigning homework), so instead of a fanfiction review, I've got some author recommendations.
Now, I only have three authors favorited on my Fanfiction.net account. Only three, out of my 500+ favorite fics.
1. The Sophisticated Shut In < www.fanfiction.net/u/3555136/The-Sophisticated-Shu⌠>
2. Silvia Grace < www.fanfiction.net/u/5236170/Silvia-Grace >
3. CoyoteLoon < www.fanfiction.net/u/475788/CoyoteLoon >
Each of these authors specializes in a fandom. Shut In writes for "Futurama," Silvia Grace writes for "Black Butler," and CoyoteLoon writes for "My Life as a Teenage Robot." Unfortunately, of the three, only Shut In is still active. She's still updating her incredibly long and amazing fic, "Walking a Fine Line."
Now, admittedly, everything Shut In writes comes with Fry x Leela, so if you're not into that ship, you might not enjoy her work. But I adore her writing style, and I feel that the plots and world-building more than makes up for any shipping. And the relationship stuff is done so well that it had me grinning and close to tears sometimes.
As for Silvia Grace, don't worry about any shipping with her. I know that the Black Butler fandom is sort of known for shipping a small child with an immortal demon who wants to kill him (guilty, as charged), but she writes absolutely none of that. Her fics are very story/plot based, and well-planned. The amount of research that she puts into these historical settings are wonderful, and her OCs are likable (I even like the villains) and don't overstay their welcome. I sometimes reread her work because of how much I adore the ideas and story. "The Young Master, Narcissistic" is easily my favorite of her works, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Black Butler.
For those who don't like OCs, I should warn you, CoyoteLoon has been guilty of giving hers the spotlight on more than one occasion. But it never bothered me â the OCs are relatable, unique, and genuinely interesting. Some of her fics have an overarching storyline, so I suggest reading them all. It can be sort of time-consuming, but the world-building goes far and beyond what the original "My Life as a Teenage Robot" ever did. I always thought that her fics deserved more attention for how much effort clearly went into them. Reading the whole set is a unique experience that had me on the edge of my seat the first time.
Thanks for reading! Check these three out, if you're interested in the fandoms they write for!

Welcome to my second fanfiction review. Weâve got a shorter entry today, but not because this one is bad. On the contrary, I love it, I just couldnât be bothered to take excerpts this time.
Quite the departure from our last fic, my choice for today is a crossover, actually! Itâs a cross between the Canadian Teletoon show âStoked,â and the American Cartoon Network show âBen 10: Alien Force.â The fic is called âHanging Ten.â
Now, before you scoff, I highly recommend giving it a chance. It starts in season one for Stoken, and somewhere in season two-ish for Ben 10, I think. To be honest, I couldnât tell exactly, except that it was after Ben had already met and defeated the Forever Nights for the first time.
Anyway! Iâd never even heard of Stoked before I stumbled upon this fic. From what I can tell, itâs similar to Ben 10 in that it has low critic reviews, but a high audience score. Going into this fic with only Ben 10 for reference, I had absolutely no trouble following the plot or characters. Itâs so well-written and explains both shows well for anyone whoâs only seen one, or even neither. Itâs a great example of how crossovers ought to be handled.
I will warn you, there is some crossover shipping between Ben and Lo. Iâm not sure who she is because sheâs from Stoked (I think that sheâs blondeâŚ?) but the fic handles it so well that I donât even care. If you like enemies to friends to lovers, then I think that youâll love it. Plus, Iâm just a sucker for the âoutsider finds out about the heroâs abilities and accomplishments and is absolutely stunnedâ trope. Thatâs the only reason I first clicked on this crossover.
After the fic is over, the author has more surrounding this AU universe! There are a total of four fics. My personal favorite is, âHanging Ten: It Came From Room 1313.â No spoilers for that one, but I find it phenomenal. Itâs shorter than the original, yes, but better in all the right ways.
If youâre ever bored and looking for a good, long read, I highly suggest giving this fic a shot! If youâre a fan of one of these shows, I promise that you wonât regret it.

I have been making AMV-style videos for over four years now. I edit with whatever fandom I'm interested in at the time. It changes every so often, so expect content coming out to rotate through a pretty regular cycle. I'm a member of DisneyGeneration Studio and Childhood Creativity Studio, the links to which can be found in the featured channels section. I write fanfiction in my free time and post to ArchiveOfOurOwn and Fanfiction.net under the username Miss_Nihilist and Miss Nihilist respectively.
Feel free to check out my stuff over there or on Tumblr! I don't bite â I'd be more than happy to chat!
