About
Crystal Axis is a Nairobi based five-piece afropunk band that has been at the forefront of the Kenyan rock scene since its inception in 2009.
The band’s music largely revolves around African themes with the band stating that their aim is to “tell African stories from an African perspective.” As such the band’s music has been referred to as being political seeing as it addresses issues such as colonialism, widespread corruption, police brutality and other issues affecting young Africans across the continent, and the diaspora.
