Hey y'all quick update - it's a slow year in gaming for the stuff I typically play a lot, so I'm shifting for the remaining part of 2024 into gamer / sports cave content since football season is in full swing and the short I just uploaded is my software engineering project "Home Stadium" that I'm working hard on to turn into a business. Fear not if you're not a sports person, the games will return, but the man cave stuff has been doing insanely well and I keep getting asked to make longer YouTube stuff for it, so the bud cave is coming soon in long form! I'll break down every tech part of what's going on including the viral bathroom TV that made it on Sports center

Happy Thursday everyone, I wanted to share a quick update -
1st I finally got my hands on a PlayStation portal and I am working on a full review plus tips video on that. It's not a perfect device, but I love it and I feel like it was made for a busy dad like myself.
2nd In addition to FF14 I've also been playing EA Sports College Football 25. It's the first time I've played a sports game really since the Michael Vick Madden on PS2. I will be releasing a full review on that, and some content on a software engineering project that I have been working on that enhances the game experience for this, and possibly a dynasty recruiting deep dive. College Football is a significant change from the stuff I typically cover like Zelda and Final Fantasy, but in real life I'm a massive Georgia Southern fan. I graduated from their computer science program in 2014 and I'm currently an MBA candidate at GS today. Since completing my undergrad I have been a season ticket holder every year. If sports isn't your thing I completely understand, I'll be back to doing my normal videos shortly, but this is something I'm very passionate about and I hope people enjoy it.
My younger son loves playing "the Georgia Southern game" on the portal. It's just some wholesome family fun

It's my birthday today and I got to do something really cool- my nephews had a batting practice with Atlanta Braves 1B and reigning home run king Matt Olson & I got to come too. Matt is a big supporter of local Atlanta autism related charities and is a great guy, I'm really excited about some new hardware going up on the wall in the Bud Cave very soon.
For those who have no idea what "GATA" is- it's the motto of Georgia Southern "Get after their A**es" which is really just a silly phrase to represent an underdog mentality of working hard and finding a way to win, so it's a cool unique thing that any Georgia Southern and Atlanta combo fan would love to have.

Hey y'all, I'm really excited that my FF7 review & part 3 thoughts video drops at 2pm Eastern. It's something I put a lot of thought into over the past few weeks. I won't say it's my last video on the game, but right now I have nothing planned unless I get a good request. Crunch off is still set for Father's Day weekend in a couple of weeks

Good morning everyone, I wanted to give a few channel updates. First and most importantly I wanted to reveal what game is next: EA Sports College Football 25, but I will say this is a rather unusual game choice to throw in with things like Final Fantasy and Zelda. It's just going to be a couple of videos, and it's more journalistic than anything else. My alma mater Georgia Southern is in the game and that school means a lot to me, so I want to be a voice for the little guy and make sure the product does schools like mine justice. I'll be interviewing someone from EA that is a childhood friend, doing a formal review, and I'll figure out how to win an imaginary national championship as Georgia Southern. I haven't played a single sports game in over a decade, so this will be fun for me and if this isn't something you're interested in just know my primary focus always has been and always will be things like what I've been previously covering.
My next FF7 videos will be a review, piano guide, and part 3 thoughts. I am not done with FF7
Starfield is also going to return in the coming months now that most of the bugs are finally fixed almost a year in and a large DLC is incoming.
Fallout 4 and Skyrim might make Appearances this year because fallout in particular is seeing a resurgence in popularity and I have a decade worth of compelling knowledge to share on these.
And lastly...
When I started on this channel a year ago, I never bothered wasting energy on a logo, a formal intro or outro, merch, or anything else like that and just focused on substance. That worked, and I'm so grateful for this audience, but I did start fiddling with a logo. I made this myself, and I absolutely love it. My alma mater Georgia Southern is the Eagles and we have a live mascot named Freedom. I started messing around on Chat GPT and got something close enough to what I wanted and then I was competent enough to get the finer details done myself. It's pretty wild that a software engineer who barely passed Art in high school can do this lol. I'm more than happy to make some behind the scenes videos on things like how I made this logo, how I make the end product you see on the channel, etc.
I'm considering putting this logo on a T-Shirt, but I have to personally confirm it is of the utmost quality before opening any sort of store. I've always been extremely cautious with anything involving money and my audience, but I have been considering making a discord, and many creators have paid tiers. I have no interest in offering any sort of paid subscription type things at this time, so I'm thinking that if I do make a discord everyone here can join free and remain free grandfathered in forever, and if there ever was a paid tier, then once the T Shirt comes out simply buying it will result in full permanent paid tier access as my original audience. I want to be available, answer questions, and most importantly just have fun!

Good morning, I wanted to give an update on my planned crunch off event. Getting me uninterrupted for an extended at a reasonable hour is a tricky thing to do with my commitments to my family and work, but I'm going to go ahead and say that with my birthday being father's day weekend I can confidently say it will happen that weekend, i will iron out an exact time as we get closer.
Also I will say this: if shareplay has any latency whatsoever this is going to be almost impossible to pull off without me logging in to people's PS5 accounts and having cloud saves get sent to my house which is something I absolutely want to avoid

I am pleased to announce that "Bonds of Friendship" will indeed be released at 2PM Eastern. It clocks in at 84 minutes, I did enough voice commentary to get the job done, and the nearly 60 minutes of voiceover work took 4 hours but I didn't stop until it was done! While this does have a very long runtime, I went 1/5 doing this way and this did not spill over into a second day. If things do not go according to plan, this strategy is flexible, and I aim to give you insight on what I did well or poorly, and my thought process so you can make good decisions and bring home a win. Tomorrow night I am back at it.
At 8PM Eastern I'll be live with @youcallmeaashik- a fellow Georgia Southern University alumni for a special live edition of my Side project "Gatabud's Eagle Nation" where we will be discussing what it takes to break out of obscurity online and be successful at content creation. Afterwards I'll make the 60 minutes of voiceover work needed to get bonds of friendship released Tuesday.
When you watch a Gatabud video, I want you to learn something, and for this channel it's video games. On my Eagle Nation channel I want viewers to learn about life, business, resilience, fun, and happiness.

Apologies for the delays in getting the final 2 legendary challenges out. Every video I put out is usually the result of me sacrificing sleep so I can still maintain my commitments as a Husband, Father, Professional Software Engineer, and MBA Candidate. The past week I've been sleepy, but I want to get these done by the end of the weekend.
I went 1/5 on bonds of friendship, and 1/1 on to be a hero. Bonds was an 80 minute total video recording that I have to voiceover and probably redo titan with a far better approach that I figured out during hero, and then hero clocked in around 50 minutes total video. Your clear time shown at the end doesn't count being tactical mode.
I know there are methods out there that clock in way faster, but what I have is no gimmicks, very flexible, and will get wins. If you watched any of my previous brutal challenge videos it will look familiar, but with some obvious twists.
