It is so wonderful being able to see them up close, all the tiny details x

From this to this! On Friday I’ll be sharing about dyeing wool with gorse flowers - isn’t it an amazing colour!

There were storms here over the weekend - and lots of trees are down. One of the plum trees in the orchard was almost split in half. I snipped all the twigs that were about to blossom and put them in a jug - next to some windfall larch - on the kitchen table.
A bit of blossomy beauty (but no plums later in the year)

Oh my goodness - YouTube showed last Friday's video to SO many people over the weekend - and so many new people have subscribed to the channel.
It has been wonderful getting comments from people all over the world.
I have decided to do an introduction post this Friday - about my very wiggly career - so I have been going through the archives!
This is from Country Living Magazine from back when I had a cut flower field and a mobile flower van c. 2004 (published 2005), the photos are by Andrew Montgomery.

This week the iris reticulata that I planted as toppers to my pots of narcissi have begun to bloom.
This variety is called Katherine's Gold and I think it is a particularly lovely one to have in a pot high up as then you can see the delicate markings.
The pot is on my sitooterie table so I see it every time I go into the garden or down to the studio.
You can see me planting them in this video https://youtu.be/53EH_nU9pcg?si=92dQw...

And I'm back! Tomorrow's film is going to be all about living with chronic illness, the things that I do to help me live a vibrant life and how they can help everyone's life, whether or not they are ill.
I filmed most of it during the terribly cold snap - sitting on this deck at the edge of the garden, looking out over the valley and getting a very numb bum.

I’m still in bed with flu (like so many people I seem to have started the year with a dose of the lurgy) so there won’t be a Friday film this week.
The new Studio Club tutorial is up though - on making a nature diary inspired by a C19th love token - as most of that was recorded before I got ill.
If you are a Studio Member you can find it here www.snapdragonlife.com/content/courses/ and if you would like to find out more about joining The Studio Club click here www.snapdragonlife.com/content/subscription//
