As I am gearing up to return to YouTube and make new content for you, I have been re-reading one of my favorite books; this one is all about the difficulties and hurdles on the creative journey, and how to overcome them. If you have wanted to create more in your life (not just music, but anything really) but have found yourself blocked, unable to start, unable to finish, etc. then THIS book is for you! I am brainstorming ways to get back to making content for you despite my current limitations during the pandemic/quarantine...
One idea I have would be to do a live "cook-up" production video where I start with a blank slate in my DAW and see what I can produce and show you all in a continuous session (maybe an hour).
I wanted to gauge interest for that here, and also ask what style you'd like me to demonstrate first, so here are a few options, and many thanks for your input! Be well, friends!

Hi friends. I truly hope this finds each of you safe and well, above all else, and despite the incredible difficulties our world is currently facing.
I want to acknowledge it is a crazy and scary time on Planet Earth right now, and I am sincerely wishing you health and peace from my little corner of the globe.
Music has always brought me comfort and inspiration/motivation during tough times; trying to share that with others is the main reason I produce music myself. Moreover, creating this like-minded community here on YouTube to share ideas about retrowave music production, songwriting, music theory, etc., has been such a thrill and blessing in my life. Thank you for being a part of it!
Unfortunately, as you may already know if you follow me on Facebook or by email, I have a bit of bad news to share. Compared to everything else going on at the moment it's extremely minor, but I'm still sorry for adding a tiny bit to the pile...
Due to the demands of the current pandemic, my family needs me to devote more of my time, energy, and focus to them going forward. Hence, it looks like I may need to put my work with The Ghost Mall on the back burner for the foreseeable future.
Anyone who knows me personally probably knows me as a family guy - I was an at-home Dad with my daughter as a baby, for example - and with local schools being closed for the rest of the academic year, I've been tasked with taking on home-school duties until at least the summer. Everything is so uncertain right now, and I had frankly already been struggling recently to make time for my retro musical passion amidst all of life's other demands. So, it's unclear to me how much time I will be able to give to The Ghost Mall - no matter how much I want to - or when I'll be able to return to it with more of my time and energy.
With all that said, I have absolutely loved sharing my knowledge of music-making here on this channel, and I'm always thrilled to hear when a video or song I've made has helped or moved one of you. Thank you for every single view, comment, subscription, share, etc.! I hope to continue finding ways to serve you folks even with limited time for content creation, and I promise to be as creative as I can be in the time I do carve out to bring you something good. (If you have suggestions, for instance, for topics I could cover or questions I could answer with short/quick videos or posts, please let me know!)
